• Jiang Changkong can consume it directly; doing so produces a restorative warm current that spreads through his limbs and bones. 1

Refined Resources

• Star Stones and Star Crystals can contain substantial quantities, though some require processing before extraction. A Star Crystal the size of an infant's fist contains 10,000 points. 5 184

Faith and Heavenly Power

• The power of faith can transform into Essence, Qi, and Spirit. In the Holy Land, Jiang receives roughly 10 points per hour from faith, supplementing the Power of Heaven's automatic gains. 614
• The Heavenly Dao can also grant Essence, Qi, and Spirit as a reward for purging threats, including 10 million points after ancient immortal-god bloodlines are cleared away. 826

Extraction Limits

• Inanimate objects gradually lose their “Spirit” over time; their value can diminish as that Spirit dissipates. 1
• A living being that is too powerful cannot be directly extracted while alive because its Essence, Qi, and Spirit has an owner. 1
• Star Gate martial artists can seal their Essence, Qi, and Spirit. Jiang must wait for it to dissipate after death, by which time much of it may already be lost. 56
• Star Treasury martial artists store Star Power, soul, blood, and qi within their Star Gate, causing their Essence, Qi, and Spirit to dissipate especially slowly after death. 56

• Some materials cannot be extracted until refined. A demon inner core registers 300 points but is initially unavailable for extraction. 483

Spiritual Essence

Spiritual Essence is a refined crystallization of everything possessed by a cultivator, from divine soul to Great Dao. It resembles a Star Crystal but differs by retaining the cultivator's cultivated Dao and, in some cases, insights into laws. 424 493

• The Five Elements Demon-Refining Ground forcibly transforms entrants into Spiritual Essence. 424
• The refining ground contains hundreds of thousands of pieces, including Spiritual Essence originating from peak Star Saints. 426
