Silvan descended the spiral staircase and crossed the empty corridor before suddenly realizing he had forgotten to ask McGonagall whether there was anything else.
Should he go back and ask now?
Silvan turned to glance at the Gargoyle statue behind him, then dismissed the thought.
No one had expected Dumbledore to be killed by Voldemort, and many of the original plans would have to change. McGonagall would probably be very busy afterward, so it was better not to disturb her during this time.
Silvan decided to return to Diagon Alley first. If there was anything else important, Mrs. Weasley, Sirius, and the others should contact him.
When he returned to the entrance hall and prepared to call Hermione over, he found her talking to Ron and Ginny.
"Why did you get here so late?" Silvan walked over and asked.
"W-we didn't want to—" Ron clutched his stomach. "By the time we went back, Fred and George had already left, and none of the others were willing to bring us here."
"We had no choice but to take the Knight Bus," Ginny said. "From Grimmauld Place to Hogsmeade Station—it was the most terrifying means of transportation I've ever experienced!"
Her face was frighteningly pale, and even her hair seemed to have faded considerably.
"You've had it rough." Silvan looked at them sympathetically, then said somewhat awkwardly, "But we're leaving now."
"What did you say?"
Ron practically screamed as he looked up at Silvan in disbelief.
"We only just got here—we rode the Knight Bus for twenty minutes—an entire twenty minutes—and now you're telling me you're already leaving?"
"Yes, that's right."
Though he felt rather embarrassed, Silvan still nodded.
"The Order of the Phoenix left ten minutes ago. McGonagall and the other two Heads of House are discussing something with Fudge. We
