Remus's transformation, which defied all magical common sense, left Harry and Ron frozen on the spot, staring blankly.

Thankfully, Hermione wasn't here.

A thought suddenly occurred to Harry: if Hermione saw a Werewolf transformation that was completely different from what the books described, she would probably explode.

Remus's meaning was simple enough.

He truly was grateful to Silvan. A few months ago, when that unicorn's soul had passed through his body, both his body and soul had undergone a complete transformation.

Though he was still a Werewolf, he was no longer bound by the full moon and could transform whenever he wanted.

More importantly, he could remain clear-headed the entire time. He would not suddenly go mad and attack those around him, nor would he bite others because of his bloodthirsty instincts.

Not only had he lost the drawbacks of being a Werewolf, but after transforming, he could fully wield strength, speed, and reflexes far beyond those of an ordinary wizard.

Combined with the fur that could resist most spells, Remus had leapt into the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix's strongest wizards. Even Sirius was no match for him.

Though Sirius was deeply unwilling to admit it, it was the truth. He had privately sparred with Remus in his Werewolf form more than once, only to suffer crushing defeats every time.

A Werewolf who could remain clear-headed and fully use all of his advantages was truly difficult to deal with.

That was also one of the reasons Remus had finally relented and agreed to marry Tonks.
