Background

Medusa ruled the Snake-People in the Tagore Desert before encountering Xiao Tian. She had previously placed a seal on Hai Bodong and warned him that returning to Snake-People territory would mean death. When Hai Bodong's aura drew her out, she immediately confronted him and Xiao Tian. Though she recognized Xiao Tian's superior Dou Zong aura, she fought rather than show weakness before her people. 44

Her battle against Xiao Tian ended in defeat and severe injuries. Xiao Tian treated her wounds after the fight, then proposed an alliance: Medusa would assist him against Soul Hall, while he would use his Heavenly Flame to help her evolve into a Dou Zong. Medusa accepted after securing his promise, motivated by the prospect of advancing her bloodline and her tribe's position. 46 47

Medusa later allowed Xiao Tian into the Snake-People temple to take the Green Lotus Core Flame, trusting that he would honor their agreement. He then used Samadhi True Fire to temper her bloodline in her cultivation cave, initiating her evolution. 52 53

Traveling with Xiao Tian exposes Medusa to ordinary human life.
