Background / History

Xiao Zhan leads the Xiao Clan during its decline in Wutan City. When the clan elders criticize Xiao Yan for falling to the third stage of Dou Qi and threaten to deny him resources, Xiao Zhan firmly refuses to abandon his son, recalling Xiao Yan's earlier talent as an eleven-year-old Fighter 2.

He is shocked when his eldest son, Xiao Tian, returns as a Dou Emperor. Xiao Tian's strength and alchemy rapidly transform the Xiao Clan's position: factions that once ignored the clan begin bringing gifts and seeking relations with Xiao Zhan 6 11.

When the Cloud Mist Sect sends Nalan Yanran to annul her engagement to Xiao Yan, Xiao Zhan is enraged by the insult to both his son and the clan. He later supports Xiao Yan's three-year vow to restore his honor at the Cloud Mist Sect 5 7.

After Xiao Tian reveals that the patriarchal jade is sought by the Soul Hall, Xiao Zhan entrusts the fragmentary ancient jade to him for examination. He learns that the hereditary token is connected to a Dou Di ruin and recognizes that its exposure could endanger the clan 33.

During the Soul Hall's assault on the Xiao Clan, Xiao Zhan confronts Yun Shan himself when the latter attempts to destroy the clan.
