Background

Fang Qing was taken in by Old Man Cha’s household on Jade Island after appearing with no usable history beyond his own name. He claimed amnesia, learned the local language, worked with the family, and formed an early bond with Old Man Cha’s granddaughter Zhu’er. 3

Initially possessing only mundane martial arts, Fang Qing discovered that the Dao-Born Pearl could transform cultivated force into primordial qi and could carry him between the Qi Refinement Way and the Land of Ancient Shu. This allowed him to pursue multiple cultivation systems while concealing the full extent of his capabilities. 6 10

At the Immortal Fate Assembly, Fang Qing was judged to possess water-leaning five-element spiritual roots of middling aptitude and entered the Azure Sea Sect.
