Background / History

Yin Jie first appears alone in a ruined town in the Land of Rain after a blue-violet pillar of light strikes the area. Injured and unable to remember anything beyond his name and age, he later regains memories from a previous life and realizes that he has transmigrated into the ninja world. He discovers chakra and begins prioritizing survival. 1

At six years old, Yin Jie awakens the Sharingan and is found by Uchiha Yasashiro during a Hidden Leaf operation. Recognizing Tsunade and Yasashiro from his past-life knowledge, he concludes that he is an Uchiha descendant. Yasashiro brings him to the front-line camp, becomes his guardian figure, and helps him understand the political situation surrounding Konoha and the ongoing war. 6 9

Uchiha Fugaku formally verifies Yin Jie’s bloodline through Sharingan resonance and returns him to Konoha. Fugaku arranges identification papers that establish him as a member of both the Uchiha Clan and the Hidden Leaf Village. Yin Jie declines a private clan courtyard in favor of living at Yasashiro’s villa, where training is more convenient. 11 14

Although the Uchiha expected him to join the Military Police Force after graduation, Yin Jie becomes Orochimaru’s disciple. He chooses this route for Orochimaru’s scientific knowledge and political value, then enters Root under the codename “Moonshade” while avoiding Danzō’s curse seal. 34 35 40

After surviving Orochimaru’s weakened Hashirama Cell experiment, Yin Jie gains a stronger body, doubled chakra reserves, accelerated recovery, and a Three-Tomoe Sharingan. The fusion grants no Wood Release, but it becomes the foundation of his later physical growth and Mangekyō development. 65

Personality

Yin Jie is calm, observant, and unusually mature for his age. His memories from a previous life allow him to recognize important figures and anticipate political dangers, but he deliberately withholds much of what he knows.
