Background / History

A is the son of the Third Raikage and the man who will eventually become the Fourth Raikage. He personally leads Kumogakure’s invasion of the Land of Hot Water, a buffer territory between the Land of Lightning and the Land of Fire. 173

During the campaign, A is described as the only Kage-level combatant on the battlefield. His Lightning Release Chakra Mode allows him to overwhelm ordinary opponents through a combination of speed, physical force, and defensive power. 180 181

A’s first major confrontation with Yin Jie becomes a contest between Lightning Release speed and the Sharingan’s perception. Yin Jie eventually exploits an opening with Lightning Slash, breaking through A’s armor and severely injuring his wrist. 183

In a later decisive clash, A battles a stronger Yin Jie whose physique has been enhanced by Hashirama Cells. Yin Jie overpowers him in a direct exchange and follows with a relentless series of attacks from the Sword of the Thunder God. 212 Minato Namikaze later breaks A’s Lightning Release Armor with Wind Release: Rasengan, injuring him again. 214
