Grand Apothecary Putress, who had developed the deadly Blight, had also developed an antidote to the Scourge plague that would save one-third of Azeroth's population.
Once the antidote to the Scourge plague had been developed, the Immortal Bastion immediately announced its formula to all of Azeroth. At a time like this, resisting the Scourge was what mattered most.
With the antidote being mass-produced and distributed, the Alliance and Horde finally emerged from the Scourge plague epidemic.
After his success, Grand Apothecary Putress eagerly bid Rend farewell, wanting to return to Undercity. Looking at him, Rend felt somewhat conflicted.
He actually wanted to keep Grand Apothecary Putress here. As long as he detained him, the events at the Wrathgate would not happen in the future.
Or he could simply assassinate him here, which would likewise prevent the Wrathgate incident.
As it happened, Nazgrel, an advisor to Warchief Thrall, arrived at the Immortal Bastion.
"Brother Rend, the Warchief has convened a war council to discuss the Scourge problem. He urgently summons the leaders of every race to attend." Nazgrel had come because, after the Scourge plague was resolved, Warchief Thrall had decided to convene a war council to discuss the incident.
Nazgrel also happened to spot Grand Apothecary Putress. "Grand Apothecary Putress, the Warchief invites you to attend this war council as well!"
Ordinarily, Grand Apothecary Putress would not have been invited to a war council. Even within the Forsaken's Royal Apothecary Society, he was not the top figure. The leader of the Royal Apothecary Society was Grand Apothecary Faranell.
The Forsaken's leader, the Dark Lady Sylvanas, had been invited to the war
