Breaking into Teldrassil

The closer they drew to Teldrassil, the more they could feel the terrifying power of the Nightmare emanating from it. The entire World Tree had taken on an unhealthy dark-red hue.

As Orgrimmar's Hammer rose above Teldrassil, the area around what had once been the Night Elves' city was normally patrolled constantly by Night Elf hippogryph riders. Now, however, there was not a soul in sight. Only Nightmare-infected birds occasionally emerged from the dense forest.

This allowed Orgrimmar's Hammer to safely stop above Teldrassil. Had the Nightmare not erupted, the Night Elf hippogryph riders would certainly have surrounded and attacked the airship.

The area atop Teldrassil's canopy was no smaller than Noxus, the territory of the Blackrock Clan, while Darnassus lay on Teldrassil's western side.

With the help of the Tauren Archdruid Hamuul, Orgrimmar's Hammer was not repelled by Teldrassil's natural energy and did not trigger the barrier's warning.

"We should help those Night Elf civilians. They are in danger." Seeing Night Elf civilians under attack from Nightmare Druids, Satyrs, and all manner of Nightmare creatures, the kind-hearted Archdruid Hamuul felt compassion for them.

Rend disagreed with Archdruid Hamuul's suggestion and voiced his opinion. "It'll be difficult. At least two hundred thousand Night Elves live on Teldrassil. This isn't something we can handle, and we're intruders. A conflict could easily break out. Rather than that, we'd be better off dealing with Archdruid Fandral Staghelm as soon as possible and stopping his corruption of Teldrassil."

Orgrimmar's Hammer stopped in a concealed spot on Darnassus's outskirts. As the Night Elves' main city, Darnassus possessed numerous anti-air defenses. If Orgrimmar's Hammer blindly charged in, it would only end in the ship's destruction and everyone's death. Thus, the best way for Rend and the others to enter Darnassus was to force their way through
