Among the three Mag'har heroes, Grommash Hellscream and Kilrogg Deadeye undoubtedly surpassed High Overlord Varok Saurfang in terms of their fathers' status. After all, back then, High Overlord Varok Saurfang had been utterly unable to compare with the chieftains of the great clans.

Yet only High Overlord Varok Saurfang survived—though Grommash had not died either. Out of guilt toward his wife and hopes for his son, Varok wanted to groom Dranosh Saurfang as the heir to the position of Warchief. In his eyes, his son was better than anyone else.

But the Horde had only two expeditionary forces: the Warsong Offensive and the Blackrock Expeditionary Force.

The High Warlords of those two expeditionary forces were Garrosh and Rend, respectively.

The two were the chieftains of the Warsong Clan and Blackrock Clan, two great clans. Coupled with Garrosh's achievement in turning the tide for the Mag'har Clan in Outland, and Rend's contributions to the Horde thus far, there was naturally no issue with them becoming High Warlords.

But Varok did not see it that way. In his eyes, Rend was extreme and devoid of honor, while Garrosh was reckless and bloodthirsty. Sooner or later, the two of them would destroy the Horde.

He did not stop to consider that Dranosh had no clan to support him, was weaker than both of them, and had no notable accomplishments. Making an exception to promote him to the rank of Horde general was already generous enough.

Seeing the silent Warchief Thrall and the utterly disappointed Dranosh Saurfang, Garrosh snatched the document from Dranosh's hand and began reading it. After only a few pages, the veins on his forehead bulged.
