Stormwind Keep, the royal fortress of House Wrynn, symbolized the heart of the Kingdom of Azeroth.
For generations, Stormwind Keep had been guarded by Stormwind's Royal Guards and the Stormwind Knights.
Now, however, the savage, bloodthirsty Mantid and the twisted, evil Sha had gathered within Stormwind Keep, serving the resurrection of their wicked god and master.
The threat of the Old Gods surpassed every crisis they had faced before. Even the Defiler Archimonde, the Deceiver Kil'jaeden, and Deathwing had been constrained by Azeroth's world barrier. The Old Gods alone were not.
If Y'Shaarj, the strongest of the Old Gods, the Seven-Headed One, were allowed to revive, then even if it did not return at full strength, Azeroth's current forces would have great difficulty defeating it. The price would be far too great.
The Horde's most elite troops, led by Warchief Rend Blackhand, were launching their fiercest assault upon Stormwind Keep.
But Stormwind Keep was not so easily conquered. It was a city within a city, surrounded by its own sturdy walls. A moat also encircled its outer perimeter. Once the drawbridge was raised, Stormwind Keep became an impregnable fortress.
Grand Warlock Darksoul joined forces with the Horde's finest warlocks and directly formed two enormous summoning arrays above Stormwind Keep.
Unlike ordinary demon-summoning arrays, which were dark green, these two arrays shone azure blue and orange-red respectively.
Empowered by immense soul energy and shadow energy, the summoning arrays activated. Two colossal Infernal meteors, dozens of times larger than ordinary Infernals, were summoned and hurled at Stormwind Keep's raised drawbridge.
As such massive Infernal meteors fell from the sky, no matter how sturdy Stormwind Keep's walls were, they could not possibly withstand them.
With the deafening crash of the Infernal meteors striking the ground, all of Stormwind—even the entire Elwynn Forest—began trembling
