Admiral Taylor and Lord Darius Crowley were locked in a chaotic melee in the square before Stormwind Keep.
Meanwhile, Rend strolled beneath the statue of Alliance High King Varian Wrynn. Every enemy who tried to attack him was slain by the Dark Rider Guard protecting him, and the Horde warriors would never allow anyone to approach their Warchief.

Rend had once watched Grommash Hellscream carve the statue of a Horde hero at the gates of Orgrimmar, and he had also seen the statues of the Alliance's Five Heroes in the Valley of Heroes. But those statues had all commemorated heroes who were already dead, at least as far as people knew at the time.
