Background / History

Tie Wu was born into a commoner blacksmith family in Manno City. He was the youngest of Tie Niu’s three sons, with Tie Li and Tie Wen as his older brothers. As a child, he admired Soul Masters alongside Tie Wen and looked forward to his own awakening ceremony. 3 395

Unlike his parents and eldest brother, Tie Wu awakened a mutated beast martial soul rather than a hammer-type martial soul. His Flame Wolf came with Innate Soul Power Level 5, prompting the Manno City branch of Spirit Hall to recruit him and send him for specialized training. His family regarded his recruitment as a major improvement to their circumstances and security. 31

Tie Wu first reunited with Tie Li while leading a Spirit Hall mission against the fallen Soul Elder Withered Wood. Although Tie Li had concealed his identity after his supposed death, Tie Wu felt an immediate and inexplicable familiarity toward him. The brothers later spoke openly, with Tie Wu recounting his Spirit Hall training and informing Tie Li that Tie Wen had disappeared from Manno City. 91 92

Following his absorption of the Red Prison Dragonblood Hibiscus, Tie Wu’s black hair gained a faint red tint and his body became more robust and sturdy. 265

Despite his rising status, he retains concern for ordinary people. He frequently supports a snack-stall owner in Northland City, ensuring local thugs no longer harass him, and pays generously for his meals. 257
