Background / History
Tang San first appears as a thin six-year-old work-study student at Nuoding Academy seeking work at Shi San’s blacksmith shop. Initially dismissed because of his age and academy uniform, he changes into patched clothing and proves his skill with a Forging Hammer. 61
At the smithy, Tang San displays the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, refining an iron block in a manner that would normally take experienced blacksmiths an entire day. He attends academy classes in the morning, forges in the afternoon, studies under Grandmaster at night, and uses spare metal to construct hidden weapons. 62
After obtaining his second Soul Ring, Tang San leaves the smithy at his teacher’s request to focus fully on cultivation. His forging demonstration nevertheless allows Tie Li to study the principles of the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer. 63
Tang San later becomes a core member of Shrek Team and earns Clear Sky Sect recognition as a direct disciple with Twin Martial Souls and an External Soul Bone. Under Tang Lie’s guidance, he rapidly learns the Clear Sky Nine Absolutes. 196 197
Following Shrek Team’s tournament victory over Spirit Hall Team, Tang San protects Xiao Wu when Bibi Dong orders her capture. Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect intervene, openly challenging Spirit Hall. 228
Tang San spends two years in Slaughter City, where he becomes colder and more detached. Before leaving, he releases deadly poison into the city; Tang Hao subsequently brings him away to deal with his accumulated killing intent. 294
He later aids Xiao Wu in the Star Dou Great Forest, obtains his sixth Soul Ring and an evolved Eight Spider Lances, and fights Spirit Hall forces alongside Xiao Wu and the Titan Giant Ape. 303 306
After the Clear Sky Sect approves his proposal, Tang San founds the Tang Sect to restore the Tang Sect’s glory through the production of hidden weapons. The Strength Clan is assigned to him as its foundation. 405
Appearance
Tang San is first described as a thin six-year-old boy wearing Nuoding Academy’s junior Soul Master uniform. When seeking employment at the smithy, he returns in clothes covered with patches. 61
- Uses a Forging Hammer despite his young appearance and is strong enough to impress veteran blacksmiths. 61 62
- Manifests eight crystalline, red-and-blue Eight Spider Lances from his back under pressure. 113
- Carries the Sea God Trident in later conflicts. 408 409
Personality
Tang San is disciplined and intensely focused. As a child, he balances formal studies, blacksmithing, training under Grandmaster, cultivation, and hidden-weapon construction without abandoning any of them. 62
He is a calm battlefield planner who exploits openings rather than relying solely on raw strength. Against Yu Tianheng and Dugu Yan, he uses Xiao Wu’s Invincible Golden Body to expose their defenses before eliminating them with Blue Silver Overlord Spear. 222
Tang San is deeply protective of Xiao Wu and loyal to trusted companions. He enters a battlefield occupied by Spirit Hall and two Hundred-Thousand-Year soul beasts to protect her, and later remains determined to help friends endangered by Fallen Soul Masters. 300 295
His time in Slaughter City leaves him with little tolerance for Fallen Soul Masters. Although he remembers his past bond with Dai Mubai, he views Dai’s freedom from Spirit Hall control as a potential disaster for the White Tiger Kingdom. 374 479
