History

Dugu Bo guarded the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in Sunset Forest behind a poison formation. When Yang Wudi broke into the site, he exposed that Dugu Bo's own venom had infiltrated his body and was being inherited by his descendants, including Dugu Yan. Dugu Bo ultimately accepted Yang Wudi's treatment proposal, allowing access to the well's herbs in exchange for help curing himself and his granddaughter. 136

Yang Wudi's proposed cure required Dugu Bo to consume two mutually opposing immortal herbs before entering the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Dugu Bo accepted the risk and emerged at rank 94, free of his long-standing poison damage and with a transformed Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor. 138 139

After his recovery, Dugu Bo focused on preventing Dugu Yan from suffering his former fate. He gave her a spirit bone to serve as a vessel for her toxins, arranged her treatment, and later provided the Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid. 138 141

He also became one of Tie Li's principal supporters. Dugu Bo arranged Tie Li's fifth and sixth soul-ring hunts, protected his cultivation, presented his status to Heaven Dou Royal Academy and the imperial family, and referred to Tie Li as his disciple when seeking aid from the Earth Dragon Sect. 140 143 230 231

Dugu Bo uncovered evidence that Xue Qinghe was an impostor and worked with Yang Wudi to investigate the imperial palace. When Spirit Hall's infiltrators were exposed, he killed Pufferfish Douluo and assisted Yang Wudi in killing Snake Lance Douluo. 171 173

Spirit Hall later ambushed him with five Titled Douluos, including Chrysanthemum Douluo and Gui Mei. Dugu Bo escaped only by detonating his poison pill, suffering severe injuries but damaging the foundations of two enemy Titled Douluos. 241 243

During the later war, Dugu Bo unleashed a deadly poison that spread beyond his control, killing indiscriminately and threatening both Heaven Dou and Spirit Hall forces. Tie Li ultimately dispersed the poison with Annihilation Dragon Breath. 426 427
