Background / History

Sasuke is the younger twin of Uchiha Jin, born ten seconds after him and six years after their eldest brother, Itachi. Jin initially resents being tied to Sasuke’s fate, particularly because of the looming threat to the Uchiha Clan, but later acts repeatedly to protect him. 2 32

At age two, Sasuke learns chakra refinement from Itachi. Although his control fails, he briefly awakens the Sharingan, becoming publicly recognized as Konoha’s newest Uchiha genius and receiving dedicated guards. His early awakening was secretly induced by Jin’s genjutsu, who used Sasuke’s reputation to conceal his own abilities. 4

Chunin Exams

Apparent Defection to Orochimaru
