Brief Schooling

"Today, the Konoha Ninja Academy is opening. You all know I have a twin brother, Sasuke Uchiha. To make it easy for everyone to tell us apart, I deliberately wore a jade ring on my right thumb. "Naruto! How could you steal Sasuke's first kiss?! That was supposed to be mine!" pink-haired Sakura raged.

"Naruto! I'm going to kill you!" blonde Ino shouted.

Naruto, meanwhile, pulled his lips away from Sasuke's in shock, dry-heaved a few times, and said, "So you really aren't my boss!"

Jin nearly fainted. What is Naruto doing? Didn't I tell him? If he likes a girl, he should put his mouth against hers. How did he end up kissing Sasuke? Oh no, what have I done? If Sasuke finds out later, with his personality, he'll definitely kill me. Jin quietly entered the room and led the three toward the seats in the back.

"Boss, you finally came. This guy is your brother, right?" Naruto's eyes were unusually sharp as he immediately spotted them.

Jin really wanted to beat Naruto up, but he merely smiled on the surface. "Good morning, Naruto. This is my younger brother, Sasuke."

"Good morning," Sasuke replied, his eyes filled with contempt.

When Jin saw that look in his eyes, he was secretly disappointed. So Sasuke is still that Sasuke who never uses his brain. Can't you think about my reputation as an idiot and a good-for-nothing? You're disgracing the halo of the Uchiha Clan genius. I'd better keep a low profile, then beat up Konoha's rookies so they'll have an enemy like me and train properly. Konoha is far too weak!

Pink-haired Sakura and blonde Ino looked at Sasuke, then at Jin sitting between White and Hinata, and began whispering to each other.

Jin sat in a corner of the classroom, with White and Hinata beside him. Naruto had started competing with Sasuke and insisted on sitting next to him. Kimimaro slipped off to one side by himself.

More and more children entered the classroom. Jin quietly watched them come in and was surprised to discover that Konoha's Twelve Rookies had actually been assigned to the same class! The classroom quickly became noisy and chaotic. Sakura and Ino also began arguing loudly.

Iruka entered just in time and knocked on the blackboard, stopping the children's racket.

"I am your teacher at the Ninja Academy. You may call me Iruka-sensei. Now, stand up one at a time and introduce yourselves," Iruka said with a smile.

Jin immediately found it boring and wanted to have some fun. A clever idea came to him, and he chuckled before standing up. "My name is Uchiha Jin. I'm the younger brother of that kid in front. When he was little..."

One hour later.

"Jin, you can..." Iruka only got half the sentence out.

"Oh, Iruka-sensei, do you want me to talk about the first time we met? All right, I'll tell you about it. That day..."

Two hours later.

"Enough! Jin, sit down!" Iruka roared angrily.

"Iruka-sensei, why did you only tell me to stop now? My mouth is dry from talking, and my head is spinning," Jin said pitifully.

At that moment, every child in the room, along with Iruka, glared furiously at Jin. Jin only smiled. I only exposed your embarrassing stories. Is that really worth looking at me like that? Since you're all so angry, I don't mind giving my taijutsu some exercise.

Ring, ring, ring, ring!

"Iruka-sensei, school's out for lunch," Jin said innocently.

"School's... out! We'll continue this afternoon!" Iruka said indignantly.

Jin held White's hand with his left and Hinata's with his right as they headed toward his home. Kimimaro and Naruto followed closely behind them. Naruto had completely latched onto Jin by now. Several other children followed behind them as well. As the group of children walked down the street, Konoha's villagers pointed at them. Some nodded, some shook their heads, some laughed, and some looked curious; all kinds of expressions could be seen. Jin had long since grown accustomed to it and did not even spare them a glance. The others were different. White was unaffected, wholly focused on Jin and oblivious to everything around her. Hinata tightly held Jin's hand and walked with her head lowered. Naruto laughed boisterously, while Kimimaro continued walking with his usual cold expression.

"Jin, stop right there! I challenge you!" Sasuke said angrily. The children behind him stopped as well. Jin turned around, looked at them, and said in surprise, "Damn, the elites of our class are all here! Don't tell me you all want to challenge me?" When no one answered, he happily continued, "Fine, then I'll show you what I'm capable of. Since my brother Sasuke is the first to challenge me, I'll tell you a secret: without strength, you have no right to challenge me! Because you aren't worthy!"

Jin suddenly rushed at Sasuke and punched him in the stomach. Sasuke actually failed to dodge and crouched down while clutching his abdomen. Jin did not pause for even a moment. He stepped forward and threw punches with both hands at once. The sounds of bang, bang echoed down the street. Konoha's male rookies were all knocked down, including Naruto, who had stepped forward to stop him. Jin clapped his hands and said with utter disdain, "You're all far too weak. You can't even withstand one round of my attacks. If you want revenge, defeat Naruto first, then defeat Neji Hyuga and Rock Lee from the grade above yours. Only then will you be qualified to challenge me one-on-one for revenge!" Jin glanced at Naruto and shook his head. "If you want to become the Fifth Naruto, you need the strength to protect them!"

"Sigh, these people are just too weak!" Jin left those words behind as he walked away with the others.

"Damn it! I couldn't even withstand a single attack from the boss. I have to become stronger! I'm the man who'll become Naruto!" Naruto roared.

So he isn't a good-for-nothing idiot. I have to surpass him! Sasuke shouted inwardly.

The rookies lay sprawled across the ground, baring their teeth in pain, their eyes filled with hatred. Every one of them wanted to tear Jin to pieces.

Sasuke turned back and said, "Without strength, you have no right to challenge me! You're all witnesses. I will definitely avenge today's humiliation." The rookies nodded repeatedly, all thinking the same thing. They're both from the Uchiha Clan, so why is the gap in their strength so enormous?

"Third Naruto-sama, the Land of Lightning's envoy was ambushed within the Land of Fire."

"What? Such a thing happened? This is bad! Quickly summon the heads of every major clan, along with the elders, to the conference room for a meeting!" the Third Naruto ordered worriedly.
