History

Uchiha exclusion and relocation

During the Second Hokage's era, the Uchiha Clan was moved from Konoha's central district to remote land beside the prison. The relocation was justified as a security measure, but it left the clan isolated from the village's political and social center. 29 31

As Uchiha Gōka became clan head, he challenged this arrangement at Konoha's regular meeting. The Land of Fire's daimyo supported moving the clan back into the village center; after a vote, the proposal passed despite opposition from Hiruzen Sarutobi, Danzō Shimura, and the other senior officials. The Uchiha then relocated to the former Senju residential area. 31 32 33

Conflict with the high command

Konoha's senior leadership continued to monitor the Uchiha Clan after its relocation. ANBU agents surveilled Gōka and Tsunade, eventually intruding into their basement while they used the Resurrection Technique. 34 37 38

Danzō and allied officials obstructed the Uchiha relocation through excessive fees, withheld salaries, blocked access to high-paying missions, and reduced prison-management funding. Tsunade publicly confronted the Hokage's office over the unequal treatment. 40 42

The conflict escalated after Root and ANBU personnel were killed while surveilling or pursuing Gōka. Hiruzen considered expelling him from Konoha, while Gōka openly stated that he would overthrow the village's higher-ups if necessary. 60 62

Rise of Uchiha influence

The Uchiha Clan's business expansion transformed Konoha's central street. Four new Uchiha Snack Shops opened alongside Yehuo Snack Shop, selling baijiu and Pissing Beef Balls to overwhelming demand. 45

The business expanded into Kumogakure, Iwagakure, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure without resistance. The resulting profits ended the clan's financial crisis and raised its standing inside Konoha and across the ninja world. 47 50 51

Village crises

Konoha suffered severe destruction during the Nine-Tails' attack. Uchiha Gōka returned after years away, summoned Susanoo to protect its defenders, and used his Sharingan to subdue the Nine-Tails. 70 71

During Orochimaru's Konoha Crush, Gōka broke the Four Violet Flames Formation trapping Hiruzen Sarutobi, prevented the Hokage from using the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, and defeated Orochimaru with Tsukuyomi. 110 111 112

After Akatsuki members destroyed Konoha Prison, Gōka captured Orochimaru, Deidara, Sasori, and their allies, completing the village's S-rank mission. 115 117

Change of leadership and unification

At a village-wide meeting, Gōka demanded Hiruzen Sarutobi step down, arguing that Konoha had abandoned Hashirama's founding ideals through clan oppression, human experimentation, and political corruption. 118 121 122

Madara Uchiha killed Danzō Shimura, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado during the leadership crisis. With the support of Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju, Madara, and the Land of Fire's daimyo, Gōka became Konoha's new Hokage. 123

Under Gōka's rule, Konoha declared war on Sunagakure, occupied Sunagakure and Kumogakure, and compelled Iwagakure, Kirigakure, and smaller villages to surrender. The ninja world became a unified nation under Konoha's Uchiha leadership. 123 124
