Background

Originally known as Dai Yuhao, he was the Emotion God and a disciple of Rong Nianbing. During a confrontation in the Divine Realm, he publicly rejects the Dai name and declares that he will only be Huo Yuhao before charging into the center of violent spatial energy 1.

The Time God had fused Huo Yuhao's divine core into his Eye of Destiny, causing the energy riot that destroyed his divine body and reduced him to a child. His soul spirits sacrificed themselves to preserve him; Eight-Angle and Liya disappeared first, while Snow Woman was the last to vanish. Although he fell from godhood, he retained his divine soul, Qiu'er's Three-Eyed Golden Lion skull bone, and Electrolux's Necromantic Holy Law God martial soul 3.

Reborn roughly 20,000 years in the past, Huo Yuhao awakens in Killing City. He survives the Hell Slaughter Arena under the identity No. 9233, develops into Killing City's youngest champion after two years, and receives the title “Undead” 2 6. During this period, he cultivates the Dragon God Heart Formula, absorbs life essence from evil soul masters, and relies on necromancy, weapons, poison, and combat experience while soul skills are restricted 4 5 6.

After clearing Hell Road, he battles Tang Chen, the Slaughter King. Tang Chen dies, while the Asura Demon Sword merges into Huo Yuhao's body and grants him the Asura God inheritance at severe physical cost 9 10. He subsequently leaves the inheritance city and begins moving through the era's Douluo Continent, intent on seeing its history for himself rather than trusting the accounts of the future 11 17.

After securing resources and allies in the Far North, Huo Yuhao journeys to the Icefire Yin Yang Well with Bibi Dong. There, he confronts and destroys the Rakshasa God's divine sense possessing her, awakens the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings, and receives explanations from the Time God regarding his return to the past, the Douluo Plane's consciousness, and the Eye of Destiny's developing fusion with time 69 73 74.

Using the Icefire Yin Yang Well's fortune, Dragon King power, and Oscar's guidance, Huo Yuhao forms Ice-Fire Twin Soul Cores and begins establishing the Golden Dragon as another martial soul. He subsequently converts the Earth Dragon Golden Melon and the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings into soul spirits, greatly expanding his inner world's power and his own soul-ring configuration 78 82 83.

Huo Yuhao appears as a slender boy around twelve or thirteen years old. His appearance changes repeatedly as his body is reforged and strengthened, but the vertical eye marking on his forehead remains his most recognizable feature 6 17 37.

Huo Yuhao is controlled, calculating, and intensely driven by loss. He carries grief for Qiu'er, Snow Woman, and his other vanished soul spirits, as well as resentment toward the Time God and Tang San. He rarely permits himself visible weakness, instead treating cultivation and preparation as the only path to changing the future 3 4.

His experiences in Killing City leave him notably ruthless toward enemies he considers irredeemable. He interrogates intruders without mercy, kills evil soul masters, searches their memories through necromancy, and absorbs their remaining life essence to strengthen himself 4 5. However, he maintains personal limits: he refuses to slaughter soul beasts indiscriminately and repeatedly protects Zhu Zhuqing despite the risks involved 6 11 12.

Away from battle, he is polite, practical, and unusually skilled at ordinary tasks such as cooking, medicine-making, and travel. He is also deeply protective of those he accepts as his own, becoming visibly angered when others insult Xue'er or threaten Zhu Zhuqing 17 19 22.

Huo Yuhao's growing power has made him more uncompromising toward those tied to Tang San's schemes.
