In the alchemy room of the Wardrobe Space, the oak desk was piled high with all kinds of Alchemical Materials and hefty tomes. Several Golems bustled back and forth, constantly carrying in new books before taking the discarded reference materials away again.
Two identical-looking people sat in the room. One rapidly leafed through documents, while the other focused on stirring a cauldron, adding something to it every dozen seconds or so.
Recently, Cornelius, the Muggle scientist Wade had recruited, had produced quite a few results. One of them was replicating the hormone that had once forced Lupin to transform, though its effectiveness remained unknown.
If this hormone proved successful, Cornelius might be able to develop a corresponding inhibitor, allowing Werewolves to remain unable to transform even on nights of the full moon because they could not secrete sufficient hormones.
At this point, live Werewolf testing had become indispensable. Cornelius had even worked up the courage to use Wade's connections to invite two volunteers to test the drug.
