Background / History

Early Primordial World

Nuwa first appears alongside her elder brother Fuxi, who introduces them to Shi Mo. She is initially curious about Shi Mo and his unusual standing among the great powers. 39

She and Fuxi reside around Phoenix Mountain and Jianmu, a vast cultivation ground rich in spirit beasts, birds, fungi, and medicinal herbs. Nuwa identifies a grove of Innate Parasol Trees as the region's chief innate spiritual roots. 60

Nuwa specializes in the Dao of life and possesses extensive knowledge of spiritual plants, medicinal materials, alchemy, and the fusion of medicinal properties. 47 57 Her discussion of the Dao with Nebula Daoist allows her to sever a corpse and become a Quasi-Sage. 47

Dao Ancestor Hongjun later accepts Nuwa as a disciple and grants her a strand of Primordial Purple Qi. 69

Creation of the Human Clan

Unable to find a path beyond the peak Quasi-Sage realm, Nuwa travels to the valley on Mount Buzhou where the Innate Gourd Vine once grew. There she receives Three Lights Divine Water sent by Shi Mo through Ice Lotus. 97

Inspired at a lakeside, Nuwa mixes Three Lights Divine Water with Innate Xirang and molds the first humans from clay. She breathes life-giving creation energy into the figures, producing intelligent beings with powerful innate bodies. 98

When her supply of prepared clay runs low, Nuwa revives the withered Innate Gourd Vine and uses it to scatter mud droplets that transform into further humans. The newborn Human Clan recognizes her as its Holy Mother. 98

The merit generated by this act elevates Nuwa to sainthood. Her Saintly aura benefits the first humans rather than oppressing them, while the resulting phenomena enlighten living beings throughout the Primordial World. 98

Human Clan Protector

Nuwa entrusts Ice Lotus with protecting and settling the newborn Human Clan. 98 She later opposes Di Jun and Kunpeng when they plot against the Human Clan, directly threatening them over their actions. 104

During the conflict with the Monster Clan, Nuwa joins Shi Mo and other Saints in declaring protection for the Human Clan. 115 After the Wu-Monster calamity, she supports the division of the Primordial World that reserves its central region for Human Clan development. 126

Nuwa establishes Wa Sovereign Heaven beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens and founds Wa Sovereign Palace; Phoenix Mountain subsequently becomes Fuxi's cultivation ground. 127 When restrictions are proposed for Human Clan Quasi-Sages, she offers Phoenix Mountain as their place of seclusion. 131

Pangu World and the Three Realms

In Pangu World, Nuwa becomes its foremost great power. She comprehends multiple Heavenly Daos and guides leading Human Clan figures, including Suiren Shi and Dao Ancestor Youxiong. 194

When Mount Buzhou collapses and tears open the sky, Nuwa comprehends the Metal and Fire Heavenly Daos, refines Five-Colored Stone from the Five Elements' essence, and mends the heavens. 197

During Wujian Chaosworld's invasion, Nuwa breaks through to the World God realm. Her power crushes the Heart Demon Lord and forces him into a weakened state before Shi Mo seals him in the World-Defining Pearl. 202 203

After Pangu World and Wujian Chaosworld merge into the Three Realms, Nuwa and Shi Mo leave avatars behind to guard their home while their true bodies venture into the chaos for greater strength, methods, and resources. 203

Appearance

Nuwa is described as a breathtaking woman with beautiful eyes and a calm, naturally reassuring presence. In Pangu World, she wears green robes; one of her dharma bodies later appears in snow-white robes. 39 194 208

  • Carries a powerful aura of life. 194
  • Her Saintly aura is vast and terrifying to cultivators, but gentle and comforting to the humans she created. 98
  • Her World-level breakthrough gives off pressure strong enough to drive the Heart Demon Lord into desperation. 202 203

Personality

Nuwa is compassionate toward the Human Clan and regards prominent Human Clan figures as her own children. She repeatedly acts to secure their safety, cultivation, and future independence. 98 104 194

She is also thoughtful and cautious. Nuwa recognizes the danger posed by mind-power cultivation, questions broad measures before accepting them, and remains wary of hidden threats such as Elder Yuan and Heartforce General. 202 204

Although she seeks the peak of cultivation, Nuwa does not pursue power passively. She chooses to venture into the chaos because remaining within the Three Realms would leave its defenders unprepared for stronger external enemies. 203 207
