History
Creation and early survival
Nuwa created the Human Clan, with Pangu Shi as the first human and Yuan Nu as the second woman. Shi Mo bestowed Pangu Shi's name, comparing his significance to Pangu's creation of heaven and earth. 100
The clan first survived on the Qingqiu Plains under Immortal Ice Lotus and Ao Ming's care. Initially unable to secure food, understand reproduction, or distinguish safe food, humans lived as beasts, consuming raw flesh and blood. Their instincts, intelligence, and aptitude for learning allowed them to multiply rapidly and spread outward. 100 110
Their explosive growth—from several thousand to hundreds of millions—brought them into contact with the Monster Clan. Monsters discovered that consuming human flesh and blood accelerated cultivation, making human settlements targets for systematic predation. 100
War with the Monster Clan
The first major crisis on the Qingqiu Plains exposed the Human Clan's weakness: most humans were untrained, lacked weapons and shelter, and could not withstand Monster Clan Golden Immortal and Taiyi-level experts. Human cultivators resisted with basic elemental spells, while one warrior used the connate Human-Creation Whip against Monster Clan attackers. 100
Immortal Ice Lotus and Ao Ming intervened, killing numerous Monster Clan experts and preventing the clan's destruction. Bai Ze ultimately withdrew the surviving monsters after being confronted over the slaughter. 100 101
Di Jun later ordered covert, repeated massacres of scattered human tribes to gather blood essence and souls for the Witch-Slaying Divine Weapon. The casualties mounted into tens of millions, forcing the Human Clan's leaders to abandon hopes of avoiding war. 101 105 109 110
Pangu Shi declared the Monster Clan the Human Clan's eternal enemy. The resulting war drew in the Earth Vein Formation, Shi Mo's disciples, the Asura Clan, mountain and land gods, and Wu Clan forces led by Houtu's tribe. 112 113
Rise of the Human Dao
After the Lich Calamity, the Human Clan's population and cultivator base expanded sharply. Pangu Shi, Youchao, and Ziyi withdrew from daily governance to cultivate, while Suiren Shi became the first Human Emperor after attaining the Heavenly Sovereign Dao Fruit. 129 130
Fuxi succeeded Suiren Shi, established Chen as a city and capital, created written symbols, promoted music and calendars, and developed the Eight Trigrams through divination. His attainment of the Earthly Emperor Dao Fruit brought the Human Dao's fortune to its peak. 129 130
The clan's rapid rise alarmed Haotian and Hongjun. Hongjun ruled that Human Clan Quasi-Sage experts could no longer remain on the Primordial Continent, while Nuwa proposed Phoenix Mountain as their cultivation ground. 130 131
Shi Mo advised the senior Human Clan powers not to shelter every generation from hardship. Pangu Shi and other great powers subsequently withdrew into seclusion, leaving later generations to develop through conflict, governance, and self-reliance. 132 133
Later expansion
The Human Clan developed from a scattered tribal people into an expansive civilization of sovereigns, provinces, and dynasties. Yu divided its territory into the Nine Provinces and cast the Nine Tripod Cauldrons to stabilize its fortune; his son Qi later founded the hereditary Xia Dynasty. 153
In later Pangu World-era accounts, the clan spreads across the world, produces numerous Celestial Gods, True Gods, and Dao Ancestors, and becomes the undisputed strongest and most unified race. 194 198 201
Defining Traits
Rapid reproduction and adaptability
- Humans multiply quickly and establish tribes throughout the Primordial World despite their initially frail bodies. 100 110
- Ordinary humans are physically weak but possess strong adaptability, intelligence, and learning ability. 110 190
- Their growth repeatedly creates pressure on food supplies, territory, and spiritual energy. 132 136
Cultivation potential
- The earliest generation includes many gifted cultivators, and Human Clan leaders advance rapidly through merit, prestige, and the clan's fortune. 100 110
- In later eras, human body-refining methods require special adaptation because humans are not born as innate lifeforms and their bodies are comparatively frail. 192
- Repeated conflicts with monsters, gods, fiends, and other races temper the clan into a source of powerful experts. 194
Collective fortune and unity
- The Human Clan's united resistance to the Monster Clan causes a noticeable shift in Heavenly Dao fortune. 113
- The rise of the Heavenly and Earthly Sovereigns elevates the Human Dao to exceptional prominence, enough to concern the Heavenly Court and the sages. 130 131
- Their shared history of persecution deepens an enduring hostility toward the Monster Clan. 112 133
