The Differences Between Enlightenment Methods

At this moment, however, Dao Ancestor Hongjun did not immediately expound upon the evolving Great Dao. Instead, he said slowly:

"Great Firmament Golden Immortals chiefly cultivate their own Dao. Primordial Golden Immortals unite with the Dao, seeking Primordial Oneness. To attain the Way of the Hunyuan Great Firmament Golden Immortal, one must perfect the Primordial Dao Fruit, merging the Primordial Dao Fruit, Innate Imperishable True Spirit, and Hunyuan Ancestral Qi into one. Transform oneself into the Dao— I am the Dao, and the Dao is me!"

"Once one attains the Hunyuan Great Firmament Golden Immortal, one may transcend the shackles of the Primordial World, transcend the Karma of Calamity Cycles, and coexist with the Great Dao from then on. Though heaven and earth perish, I shall remain imperishable!"

"However, we were born in the Primordial World and raised in the Primordial World, and thus owe heaven and earth immense Karma. Unless this Karma is repaid and permission is granted by the Primordial World, even if one's Dao Fruit is perfected, one will still have no hope of attaining the Hunyuan Great Firmament Golden Immortal!"

"A Sage is not a cultivation realm, but a fruition status. If one obtains the position of a Heavenly Dao Saint, one may wield the authority of the Heavenly Dao and receive the empowerment of the Primordial World's Heavenly Dao, gaining the cultivation realm of a Hunyuan Great Firmament Golden Immortal. Thus, a Sage is a Hunyuan Great Firmament Golden Immortal, but a Hunyuan Great Firmament Golden Immortal is not necessarily a Sage!"

"A Sage likewise coexists with the Great Dao; though heaven and earth perish, I shall remain imperishable. Furthermore, because a Sage's Dao aligns with Heaven and governs the authority of the Heavenly Dao, even if one falls, one may swiftly return to life
