Ch. 162Void Magic

Makarov was ambushed by Ivan and Jose, leaving Fairy Tail without its guild master, but Aibo rescued him and returned to face Phantom Lord. Jose then threatened Fairy Tail with the Magic-Converging Cannon, while Aibo prepared to use an Ultimate Weapon.

  • Makarov confronted Jose and Ivan, but Ivan used an illusion of Laxus to distract him while Aria drained his magic power.
  • Jose attacked the weakened Makarov, but Aibo arrived, wounded Ivan, and teleported Makarov to safety.
  • Jose returned to the battlefield and demanded that Fairy Tail surrender, disband, and hand over the Heartfilia family's young lady, or be destroyed by the Magic-Converging Cannon.
  • Aibo took Makarov to Porlyusica, used Life Magic to restore some of his vitality, and left him with Porlyusica and Mistgun.
  • Aibo prepared to return to the fight and called for points to use the Ultimate Weapon he had made.

Ch. 163Aibo's Secret Weapon

After Jose drained Makarov’s magic, Aibo reassured Fairy Tail and rallied its strongest members to fight while Mistgun worked to restore the master. Aibo revealed that his secret weapon was a tiny blond creature named Fibi Chubi.

  • Aibo told Erza that Makarov had been taken to Porlyusica’s and explained that a special wind-based magic had drained his power.
  • Aibo proposed using Link Magic to restore Makarov, but said the guild should prepare to fight Jose without relying on the master.
  • Natsu and the other wizards agreed to take on Jose with Aibo, while Aibo said the Seven Sin Apostles would handle the remaining enemies and promised to upgrade his secret weapon.
  • Mistgun arrived and offered to gather Makarov’s scattered magic power, saying the master would recover in a little over half an hour.
  • Lucy revealed that she was the Heartfilia family’s young lady, and the guild teased her about being rich.
  • Aibo produced a glittering golden book and a tiny blond creature in a top hat, introducing it as Fibi Chubi.

Ch. 164Fairy Tail Advances

Aibo prepared Fairy Tail for war against Phantom Lord, upgrading Phoebe with Form Magic to help counter Jose’s overwhelming magical power. He refused Laxus’s offer of help and rallied the guild to fight, leaving everyone ready to attack Phantom Lord.

  • Aibo explained that Phoebe had inherited most of Deliora’s abilities and used his Golden-Skin Notebook to upgrade her with Form Magic.
  • Aibo reasoned that Fairy Tail could exploit its members’ physical stamina to wear down Jose despite his immense magic power.
  • Laxus offered to return if Aibo joined his Thunder God Tribe, but Aibo rejected him and mentioned nearly killing Ivan.
  • Aibo finished upgrading Phoebe and rallied the guild by describing Phantom Lord’s attacks and Jose’s demands.
  • Fairy Tail’s members vowed to stand and live, then shouted that they would kill Jose and flatten Phantom Lord.

Ch. 165Phoebe Stands Upon the Earth

Aibo and Fairy Tail fought Phantom Lord, using Phoebe and Form Magic to neutralize Jose’s guild and separate him from his allies. Aibo’s team surrounded Jose and challenged him to show the strength of a Ten Wizard Saint.

  • Aibo swallowed Phantom Lord’s Magic-Converging Cannon and provoked Jose into summoning the Super Magic Giant.
  • Aibo poured the cannon’s magic power into Phoebe, who grew into a giant and punched off the Super Magic Giant’s arm.
  • Aibo used Form Magic to shrink Phantom Lord’s guild and its members, then sent Phoebe away with them while he rushed Jose.
  • Aibo gathered Erza, Mirajane, Cana, Natsu, Gray, and Juvia to face Jose as Wendy’s enhancements strengthened the group.
  • Natsu struck Jose, Erza and Mirajane wounded him, and Aibo teleported the group out of Jose’s counterattack.
  • Aibo told Jose that he controlled the surrounding space and challenged him to fight Fairy Tail.

Ch. 166Limitless Technique?

Aibo coordinated Fairy Tail’s fighters against Phantom Lord, using a magic-restricting trap to disable most of the enemy guild and teamwork to wear down Jose. Jose’s tracking attack struck Aibo, but Aibo emerged unharmed and prepared to counterattack.

  • Fairy Tail’s fighters trapped Phantom Lord’s members in a cube that prohibited elemental magic, leaving Phoebe and others to overwhelm the trapped enemies with their remaining abilities.
  • Aibo used Information Magic to coordinate his team’s attacks on Jose, helping Erza wound him while Cana’s magical beasts countered his shadow legion.
  • Jose unleashed a powerful area attack that devastated Cana’s beasts, then fired Shadow Kill at Aibo after recognizing his ability to anticipate attacks.
  • Aibo let Shadow Kill strike him, survived without a scratch, and told Jose that it was his turn to attack.

Ch. 167Joseph of the Ten Wizard Saints, Defeated!

Mistgun restored Makarov and destroyed Phantom Lord’s branches while the Fairy Tail wizards wore Joseph down in battle. Aibo finished Joseph with Fairy Glitter, and Makarov arrived to find the guild’s young members victorious.

  • Mistgun restored some of Makarov’s magic power, then used teleportation arrays to demolish Phantom Lord’s branch guilds and take their flags.
  • Makarov woke, misunderstood Mistgun’s report, and rushed back toward the battle in a panic.
  • Aibo and the other Fairy Tail wizards trapped Joseph behind his defensive sphere and battered him until his magic began to run out.
  • Aibo unleashed Fairy Glitter, shattered Joseph’s shield, and defeated the Ten Wizard Saint.
  • Makarov arrived to find Joseph defeated and praised Aibo and the other young guild members for their victory.

Ch. 168Phantom Lord's Fall

After Fairy Tail defeated Phantom Lord, Aibo organized the guild to seize its assets, recruit promising members, and search its Super Magic Giant while Makarov recognized him as a worthy successor. The Magic Council surrounded the guild just as Makarov was wishing he could retire.

  • Levy defeated Gajeel with Word Magic, and Fairy Tail celebrated its victory over Phantom Lord.
  • Makarov told Gajeel that sharing one another’s joys and sorrows was what made Fairy Tail a true guild.
  • Aibo repaired the Super Magic Giant and directed Mira, Erza, Lucky, and Ailu-kitty to investigate Phantom Lord, claim its assets, recruit members, and search for treasure.
  • Cana told Aibo that Ivan was missing, and Aibo said the guild should leave him alone unless he showed up again.
  • Makarov saw the guild obey Aibo and decided he was a worthy successor.
  • The Magic Council surrounded Fairy Tail, and Makarov despaired at the prospect of handling the aftermath.

Ch. 169Aftermath

After Fairy Tail defeated Phantom Lord, Aibo helped turn its Super Magic Giant into a free academy and assessed how the battle had strengthened him. With the guild’s future plans underway, he returned to researching his apostles, beginning with the changed Seven Sins Guga.

  • The Magic Council disbanded Phantom Lord, imprisoned Jose for life, and raised Fairy Tail’s danger rating to its highest level.
  • Aibo secured Totomaru and Kiel as new Fairy Tail members, then assigned Totomaru to establish Fairy Tail Academy inside the Super Magic Giant.
  • Makarov became the academy’s nominal principal, while Aibo rejected the idea of taking over as guild master and continued focusing on magic research.
  • After recovering from his battle with Jose, Aibo’s maximum magic power rose by more than two thousand, and he became confident he could defeat Jose alone.
  • Aibo learned that Aria had imitated White Annihilation with Wind Magic, leaving Aibo unable to use the technique or drain Makarov’s magic power.
  • Aibo resumed researching his apostles, and the chapter revealed that Seven Sins Guga had undergone drastic changes.

Ch. 170Girls with Different Thoughts

Aibo’s upgraded Seven Sin Apostles gained S-Class-level power, but their increasingly human personalities caused conflict with the women they were modeled after. At the first long-table meeting in Cake Tower, the girls confronted Aibo about the apostles, and Levy asked if she could take one home.

  • Aibo transformed the Seven Sins Guga into humanlike Seven Sin Apostles, whose halos increased their Curse Power at the cost of intensifying their assigned sins.
  • The Seven Sin Apostles reached S-Class strength, but their growing personalities made Aibo’s home chaotic and kept him away from the guild.
  • Erza and the other women ambushed Aibo at a long-table meeting and asked why he had used them as templates without discussing it first.
  • Aibo explained that the apostles obeyed him, while [Pride] and [Wrath] insulted the women and were reprimanded by him.
  • Cana questioned whether Aibo could control the apostles, while Juvia glared at [Envy] and [Lust] provoked Levy.
  • Levy asked Aibo if she could take an apostle home for a few days.

Ch. 171Lucy and [Greed]

Aibo’s friends took the Seven Sin Apostles away from Cake Tower, leaving Lucy to meet her Greed counterpart, Little Lucy. Little Lucy explained that Greed reflected what Aibo truly craved, but she had not yet revealed what that was.

  • Erza, Mira, Juvia, and Levy took their matching apostles away to train or teach them.
  • Wendy carried Sloth away after the little apostle asked to be carried.
  • Aibo explained that Gluttony consumed emotions and had the greatest curse power, making her central to his research.
  • Lucy left Cake Tower and discovered that Greed had followed her, then offered to call her Little Lucy.
  • Little Lucy said the apostles’ desires came from Aibo’s past thoughts and began explaining what he truly craved.

Ch. 172Apostles and the Girls

Lucy, Wendy, Erza, Mira, Juvia, and Levy each dealt with the Apostle they had brought home, discovering their very different personalities and abilities. The girls’ reactions ranged from doting affection to exasperation and jealousy, while Levy grew suspicious of how much [Lust] knew.

  • Lucy found [Greed] clever, well-mannered, and skilled at cooking, and decided she was the most pleasant of the Seven Sin Apostles.
  • Wendy happily cared for the exceptionally lazy [Sloth] and wished she could keep her at home.
  • Erza sparred with [Pride], whose sword skills and mind-reading taunts left Erza discouraged and eager to send her back to Aibo.
  • Mira tested Take Over Magic on [Wrath], found it offered little combat benefit, and grew furious at the Apostle’s insults.
  • Juvia tried to persuade [Envy] not to threaten her over her affection for Aibo, while [Envy] repeatedly vowed to kill her.
  • Levy panicked when [Lust] described her desire to become useful to Aibo, then began a knowledge quiz to investigate how much the Apostle knew.

Ch. 173God Slayer Magic

Aibo explained how the Seven Sin Apostles were made from copies of his soul and began studying Modified God Slayer Magic after learning that Zancrow of Grimoire Heart had mastered it. He planned to develop Phoebe and the apostles along separate God Slayer and Devil Slayer research paths, and discovered the revised God Slayer technique no longer strictly required a God Seed.

  • Six of the Seven Sin Apostles left, and Aibo was relieved to keep [Gluttony] as his laboratory assistant.
  • Aibo explained that the apostles’ mimetic souls were copies of his own and that he could project his consciousness into their bodies with the [God Descent Technique].
  • Aibo decided to use Phoebe and the Seven Sin Apostles as separate control groups for God Slayer Magic and Devil Slayer Magic experiments.
  • After Ultear told him that Zancrow of Grimoire Heart used Fire God Slayer Magic, Aibo found research on the technique in the Super Ancient Grimoire.
  • Aibo studied the revised technique, obtained [Modified God Slayer Magic LV0], and concluded that it no longer strictly required a God Seed.

Ch. 174Devil Slayer Magic

Aibo learned Modified God Slayer Magic by creating a Light God Core, then developed a crystal-based method to implant it in Phoebe. His research into Devil Slayer Magic revealed a possible way to upgrade Mira.

  • Aibo created a Light God Core beside his Dragon Seed and used it to devour light more efficiently, though the magic barely increased his combat strength.
  • Aibo spent two weeks developing a Magic Crystal containing a God Core and implanted it in Phoebe, creating his Second-Generation God Slayer Mage Modification Technology.
  • Aibo considered adapting Light God Slayer Magic for the Seven Sin Apostles but found light incompatible with their Curse Arts.
  • Aibo researched Devil Slayer Magic, created a Devil Slayer Core in his own body, and realized Devil Slayer Magic combined Modified God Slayer Magic with Curse Arts.
  • Aibo recognized that Devil Slayer Magic was largely redundant for the Seven Sin Apostles, but his research suggested a way to upgrade Mira.

Ch. 175Loke's Troubles

Aibo strengthened the Seven Sin Apostles and Mira with Slayer Crystals, then gave Loke a Celestial Spirit Crystal that let him remain in the human world. He suggested Lucy might be able to help Loke return to the Celestial Spirit World, and promised to persuade her.

  • Aibo implanted Elemental Slayer Crystals into several of the Seven Sin Apostles, boosting their strength and giving them new ways to replenish Curse Power.
  • Natsu fought [Wrath], eventually devoured her Slayer flames, and won after exhausting his magic, but worried that Aibo's creations were improving faster than he was.
  • Aibo gave Mira a Devil Slayer Core, greatly increasing her strength and allowing her to match Erza again.
  • Aibo implanted a Celestial Spirit Crystal into Loke, nearly killing him during the procedure but allowing him to absorb light and stay in the human world.
  • Loke said he still wanted to return to the Celestial Spirit World, so Aibo proposed that Lucy might have authority to change its rules as a descendant of its creator.

Ch. 176Lucy's "True Strength"

At Lucy’s welcome party, Aibo questioned her about her bonds with Celestial Spirits and told her Leo had been banished after Karen’s death. Lucy refused to accept Leo’s fate and forcibly opened his gate, summoning the Celestial Spirit King.

  • Lucy felt ignored at her party until Aibo found her sulking alone.
  • Aibo asked Lucy how she viewed Celestial Spirits, and Lucy realized she mostly contacted them when she needed them.
  • Aibo told Lucy that Karen had mistreated Leo and Aries, and that Leo was banished after Karen died.
  • Lucy insisted on saving Leo and accompanied Aibo to see him, where Leo said he was near death.
  • Lucy forcibly opened Leo’s gate and summoned the Celestial Spirit King.

Ch. 177Lucy Rebukes the Celestial Spirit King

Lucy confronted the Celestial Spirit King to win Leo's pardon, unaware that Leo and Aibo had set up the encounter. After Leo returned to the Celestial Spirit World, Aibo hinted that Lucy's family bloodline explained why she could command the king.

  • Lucy argued that Leo had only tried to protect Aries, and the Celestial Spirit King pardoned him and opened a gate to the Celestial Spirit World.
  • Leo returned to human form and thanked Lucy, then proposed becoming her knight and forming a contract with her.
  • Lucy realized Aibo and Leo had concealed Leo's identity and scolded them for making her worry.
  • Aibo explained that he had modified Leo so he could live in the human world without another person's magic, and Leo left for the Celestial Spirit World with his key entrusted to Aibo.
  • After the gate disappeared, Aibo asked Lucy why she had been able to command the Celestial Spirit King and suggested she knew nothing about her family's bloodline.

Ch. 178The Terrifying Levy

Aibo learned that Lucy’s Heartfilia ancestors had a close connection to the Celestial Spirit King and offered to help her grow stronger. After returning to his room, he caught Levy conducting a strange experiment, and their confrontation ended in mutual accusations and chaos.

  • Aibo told Lucy that her ancestor may have created a Celestial Spirit, then offered to strengthen her through an experiment, which she accepted.
  • Aibo returned Lucy to the Cake Tower, then teleported home after the Gugas reported that Levy was casting magic in his room.
  • Aibo found Levy under his blanket, and she left after completing her mysterious activity and putting away a small piece of fabric.
  • Levy apologized but accused Aibo of pretending to be innocent, then claimed she had discovered his secret.
  • Aibo realized Levy had searched his room and cast Water Magic after finding evidence in his underclothes, and the two argued over her trophy.

Ch. 179Terrifying Levy!

Levy learned that Aibo knew her secret and tried to even the score by uncovering one of his. After discovering his secret and proposing to help him, she left Aibo horrified but tempted by her plan for his Space Underpants spell.

  • Levy realized Aibo had known her secret and decided to uncover dirt on him so they could face each other as accomplices.
  • Levy asked Aibo if he wanted to do it, but he refused and told her to wait until her next birthday.
  • Levy mistook Aibo's refusal for shyness and concluded she had secured his first time.
  • Levy examined Aibo's Space Underpants spell, noticed it had been modified, and suggested changing it to help him with his troubles.
  • Levy whispered her proposed modification to Aibo, who swallowed his explanation and asked if he could try it.

Ch. 180Kiss

Levy kissed Aibo for the first time and tried to get him to name her as his favorite girl, but he admitted Lucy was most his type. After Levy left, Cana noticed she smelled of Aibo and became suspicious.

  • Levy learned that Erza had accidentally discovered Aibo's secret and then kissed him, claiming his first deep kiss.
  • Levy and Aibo kept kissing until he stopped them because the party was ending and Cana might return.
  • Levy asked Aibo to choose his favorite girl, and he said Lucy was most his type, alarming Levy.
  • Levy decided to keep their kisses secret, kissed Aibo once more, and left his room.
  • Levy ran into Cana at the Elevator and claimed she had been discussing work with Aibo.
  • Cana noticed that Levy carried Aibo's scent and suspected something was wrong.

Ch. 181There's a Second Test?

Cana confronted Aibo about Levy and assumed the two were dating, but Aibo insisted they were not. After he confessed that he wanted to marry several girls, Cana accepted his ambition and offered to help him pursue them, leaving Aibo both encouraged and confused.

  • Cana noticed Levy's scent and the disordered bed, then asked Aibo whether he and Levy were dating.
  • Aibo denied dating Levy, and Cana advised him to take precautions and wait until marriage before having children.
  • Aibo declared that he wanted to marry Levy, Erza, Mira, Juvia, Lucy, and Wendy.
  • Cana accepted Aibo's plans, offered to help him win the girls over, and teased him about having children.
  • Aibo told Cana he could handle things himself, while Cana said she looked forward to babysitting his kids.
