Background

Nuwa created the first human, whom she named Human, then formed more of his kin. The first human immediately recognized Nuwa as his Holy Mother and held her in reverence. The Human Clan’s original members possessed innate bodies, exceptional intelligence, and souls forged through the Great Dao of Creation 63.

Bai Jing opposed keeping the newly born race under either his or Nuwa’s direct control. At his recommendation, Nuwa settled them at Mount Shouyang, protected the area with a restriction, and allowed them to develop independently 66.

During their first thousand years at Mount Shouyang, humans learned to use fire, make clothing, build homes, and hunt. Suiren, Youchao, and Ziyi gained merit and became the Three Human Ancestors, while Xuan Yu—the first human created by Nuwa—served as their leader 69.

Bai Jing gives humanity millet, a Moon Laurel sapling, and the cultivation art later named the Human Ancestor Scripture. He teaches them to farm and cultivate but refuses to direct their future, telling them to walk their own path 70.

Following the Heavenly Marriage, humans begin reproducing rapidly. Mount Shouyang becomes their ancestral land while tribes migrate throughout the Primordial World, including to the East Sea Coast 91 97.

Alliance with the Witch Clan

The Human Clan’s intermarriage with Witch Clan tribes produces mixed-blood children with souls and exceptional cultivation potential. Zhu Jiuyin formally forges an alliance with humanity, granting the young race ten thousand years of peace and discouraging other races from provoking it 103 104.

Rise as the World’s Protagonists

Human Dao and the Mortal Realm
