Background

Wuye was born into the Hyuga Clan but was ostracized for lacking the Byakugan. After awakening the Sharingan, he learned that his body carried both Hyuga and Uchiha bloodlines, making his parentage and clan status a source of conflict. His mother later died during an S-rank mission while protecting Hyuga Kaguya; he had little attachment to the clan and initially wished to live with Akimichi Torifu instead. 2 23

At seven, Wuye broke up with Uzumaki Kushina shortly after accepting her confession. The event triggered his first ocular awakening and began his ability to analyze techniques associated with people close to him.
