The Uchiha Clan Moves to the Village Outskirts

After venting for a while, Feng finally calmed down. Having a cheat was already pretty good. At least he was better off than those predecessors who transmigrated without receiving Mother Blue Star's love and had to struggle on their own.

Besides, if Konoha did not have any good ninjutsu to copy, there was always somewhere outside Konoha.

On top of that, everyone else in the village had participated in the battle against the Nine-Tails, while not a single member of the Uchiha Clan had appeared.

Although that was because Danzo's Root had held the Uchiha Clan back and prevented them from helping, Root was hardly going to explain anything for them. Danzo wanted the Uchiha Clan's rift with the village to deepen so he could make his move against them.

And the Uchiha Clan had no evidence to prove their innocence.

Moreover, the Uchiha were arrogant by nature. There was no way they would lower themselves to explain matters to the villagers one by one.

Thus, the Uchiha could only obediently take the blame.

As a result, the Uchiha's reputation became even more infamous.

Then, after Hiruzen Sarutobi resumed his position as Hokage, Konoha held a village reconstruction meeting. Konoha Elder Shimura Danzō delivered another harsh blow to the Uchiha when he proposed:

'The Uchiha Clan is highly suspected in the Nine-Tails Night incident. They should first move out of the village center and relocate to the outskirts for easier investigation. Once the truth has been determined, they may move back.'

Naturally, the entire Uchiha Clan opposed the proposal. The proud Uchiha could not accept that, as founders of Konoha, they were being forced to live on the outskirts of the village.

Even Uchiha Fugaku, the current clan head and an ordinarily weak-willed coward, led the protest against the village leadership's alienation and isolation of the Uchiha at the meeting. It was easy to imagine just how dissatisfied the Uchiha Clan was with Danzo's proposal.

Unfortunately, it changed nothing. Both the village leadership and the other jonin approved of the proposal.

The Uchiha's reputation was simply too foul now. No matter how unwilling and resentful they were, they could only leave their homes in bitter fury and move to live in a corner of the village.

Later, once Konoha had finished rebuilding and the Anbu and Root had time to spare, an Uchiha ninja still wanted to flee Konoha?

He would probably walk out Konoha's gates in the morning and be lying on Root's operating table by the afternoon.

During the past few days in the hospital, Feng had stared at Konoha's reconstruction work outside his window every day. The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, had cultivated an approachable public image in Konoha, so he would not be difficult to meet. As for Might Guy, that went without saying. Whenever he was not on a mission, he ran laps around Konoha, making him easy to approach.

However, both ninjutsu cost one's life to use. Therefore, Feng regarded them only as desperate last-resort options for risking his life, not as primary considerations.

Other than that, were there any powerful Konoha ninjas Feng could approach?

But what Feng wanted was Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan ocular techniques, or the Mangekyō Sharingan's divine power: Susanoo.

Yet he was not sure whether Fugaku even possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan. In the anime he had watched and the original manga, Uchiha Fugaku had never displayed the Mangekyō Sharingan. The anime showed him with it, but Feng had never seen Fugaku use any ocular techniques or Susanoo.

Therefore, whether Uchiha Fugaku truly had the Mangekyō Sharingan had always been questionable.

Still, no matter what, Fugaku was currently Feng's best choice among the people in Konoha whose ninjutsu he could copy. Whether Fugaku had the Mangekyō Sharingan or not, he would find out by trying.

Copy Cards would not disappear if copying failed anyway. Success would be ideal; if it failed, he could think of another way to copy something else. And if all else failed, there was still the money-loving Kakuzu as his last backup.
