Thus, the Uchiha could only obediently bear the blame.

Then, at Konoha's village revival conference after Hiruzen Sarutobi resumed his position as Hokage, Konoha elder Shimura Danzō dealt the Uchiha another vicious blow. He proposed:

This proposal naturally met with opposition from the entire Uchiha Clan. The proud Uchiha could not accept that, as one of Konoha's founding clans, they were being forced to live on the village's edge.
Even Uchiha Fugaku, the current clan head and a notoriously weak-willed useless man, led the protest against the village leadership's distancing and isolation of the Uchiha at the conference. It was easy to imagine just how dissatisfied the Uchiha Clan was with Danzo's proposal.

Still, no matter what, Fugaku was currently the best choice among the people in Konoha whose ninjutsu Feng could copy. Whether he had a Mangekyō or not, Feng would find out by trying.
