Background / History

Ino is the daughter of Inoichi Yamanaka and grows up above her family’s flower shop. She is familiar with the shop’s plants, helps with its daily environment, and has carried flowerpots since childhood, leaving her stronger than many girls her age. 4 23 42

She first meets Uchiha Sakuya at the Yamanaka Flower Shop after noticing him examining a Rainbow Jade succulent. Although he dismisses the plant as merely useful because it is easy to keep alive, Ino finds his perspective unusual and offers to watch for flowers he might like. 4

At the Ninja Academy, Ino chooses to join Sakuya for lunch beneath a cherry tree and shares a homemade rice ball with him. Her repeated initiative turns their brief acquaintance into a regular friendship, despite his initially reserved responses. 8
