Sen's voice was light, yet it felt like an icy blade pressed against the one-eyed Grass Ninja's throat.
The one-eyed man looked at his two companions nearby, foaming at the mouth, every bone in their bodies crushed.
Then he looked at the smiling "devil" before him and trembled like a leaf.
"In... in my ninja tool pouch..."
With shaking hands, he unfastened the ninja tool pouch at his waist and tossed it to Sen like a hot potato.
Sen casually caught it and opened it.
A scroll lay quietly inside, a large character for "Heaven" brushed onto its surface.
"Well, lucky me."
Sen whistled.
As luck would have it, Team 7 had the "Earth" scroll Iruka had given them.
Now they had both "Heaven" and "Earth."
Less than half a day into the exam, they had already completed the task required to pass.
"All right, I'll take this."
Sen tucked the scroll into his pocket and waved at the one-eyed man.
"You can get lost."
"Th-thank you for sparing my life, sir!"
As though granted a pardon, the one-eyed man scrambled to pick up his two unconscious companions and disappeared into the depths of the forest without looking back.
"Tsk, there go three more experience packs."
Watching them flee, Sen pursed his lips regretfully.
Still, compared with passing the exam, that little bit of experience hardly mattered.
He leaped down from the tree and returned to Team 7's temporary camp.
"Big bro! You're back!"
Naruto rushed over first, his face full of worry.
"Where did you go? We thought some wild beast had dragged you off!"
Sasuke and Sakura watched him nervously too.
"Here, I brought you a little present."
Sen yawned and casually tossed the "Heaven" scroll to Naruto.
