As an outsider, Uchiha Feng had no way to help with this matter.
He couldn't exactly storm into the Hokage's office and tell the Third Hokage not to do anything against the Hyuga Clan, could he?
The Uchiha Clan and the Hyuga Clan were two clans that had nothing to do with each other. Doing something like that would be far too unnatural.
This conversation ultimately ended abruptly in an unexpected manner, without reaching any conclusion.
Afterward, Uchiha Feng went straight to Jiraiya, his heart filled with complicated emotions.
Over the past few years, Uchiha Feng and Jiraiya had become quite close, long since becoming friends who could talk about anything.
After all, they had peeked into women's bathhouses together. They were friends in peeping, with nothing they couldn't discuss.
Jiraiya frowned slightly, a trace of confusion in his eyes. "You want to find Tsunade? What do you need her for?"
Uchiha Feng sighed softly, anxiety flashing through his eyes. "What else could I want with Tsunade? To treat an illness, of course. My younger brother isn't in good health and urgently needs a powerful medical ninja to heal him."
Jiraiya nodded, seeming to understand his difficulties. "I see. But even I don't know where Tsunade is right now."
Uchiha Feng's eyes immediately lit up, a hint of resolve in his voice. "The casinos! Legend says Tsunade is obsessed with gambling. If we go to a casino, we'll definitely find traces of her."
On an empty clearing outside Konoha, sunlight filtered through the treetops, casting dappled shadows. A gentle breeze swept past, carrying bursts of fresh air.
In this open space, only Uchiha Feng and Jiraiya stood side by side.
Uchiha Feng wore a long black robe. The black fabric glimmered faintly beneath the sunlight, making him appear mysterious and imposing.
A massive scroll was strapped to his back, its edges slightly curled, as if it contained limitless power and stood ready to unleash the formidable ninjutsu he possessed.
Jiraiya, meanwhile, had changed into his classic forehead protector bearing the character for oil, marking his identity as a Toad Sage. The wind stirred his long hair, lending him an air of carefree confidence that seemed to proclaim his unruly nature.
Just then, several ANBU ninja wearing black masks silently appeared around them like ghosts, instantly blocking Uchiha Feng and Jiraiya's path.
The leading ANBU ninja spoke in a low, cold voice. "Lord Jiraiya."
Jiraiya frowned slightly, seeming to realize the gravity of the situation. He spoke slowly. "You... are Root ninja, aren't you?"
The ANBU ninja did not answer. They merely stared silently at Uchiha Feng, an icy pressure radiating from their eyes. "Members of the Uchiha Clan may not leave the Hidden Leaf Village."
Jiraiya's anger flared. Pointing at them, he spoke righteously, "Insolence! Your Root has truly become lawless. You actually dare restrict someone else's personal freedom so casually!"
At that moment, Uchiha Feng's expression gradually darkened. His hand had already clenched into a fist, as though he were ready for battle. "Very good. It's been a long time since I last killed someone. Today..."
"Wait... Little Feng, don't act rashly!" Seeing this, Jiraiya immediately stepped forward and swiftly stopped Uchiha Feng's rising fury, his tone firm yet gentle. "I'll handle this trouble."
Jiraiya stared at the Root ninja, a trace of authority in his voice. "I'm warning you one last time. If you still refuse to move aside, don't blame me for being rude."
The leading Root ninja paused slightly before replying with a cold laugh, "My apologies, Lord Jiraiya, but we cannot comply!" His words carried no fear, as though he did not take Jiraiya seriously at all.
The moment he finished speaking, Uchiha Feng's eyes widened sharply. The pattern of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan instantly blossomed within his pupils like stars glimmering in an abyss.
"Soul Flame!" he shouted in a deep voice, carrying an irresistible authority.
Immediately afterward, white flames seemed to emerge from the Void, instantly engulfing the Root ninja.
The flames spread wildly across their bodies, yet left behind no visible wounds.
Piercing screams followed, like souls being torn apart as they wailed in despair. Each cry struck the ear and chilled the heart.
Moments later, the ninja collapsed one after another, their faces twisted as though suffering indescribable agony. Yet their bodies remained completely intact, as if they had never been attacked at all.
"Let's go. There's nothing to say to these people. They're just Root ninja without souls..." Uchiha Feng said coldly as he stepped forward without hesitation.
Jiraiya's heart tightened, and he hurried after him, urgency in his voice. "Little Feng, this is too crazy! We should talk things out. We're all from the same village; there's no need to make things so tense and start killing each other!"
Uchiha Feng curled his lips disdainfully and turned back, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Hmph! The same village? Then why did they stop us? They're simply wary of our strength. If I had truly been weak, I might be the one dead right now. I merely gave them a taste of their own medicine—a small warning, that's all."
Jiraiya was left speechless by those words. A complicated feeling flashed through his heart, but he still could not help rebutting, "You can't lump everything together. After all, they are Danzō's subordinates. They bear heavy responsibilities, and their circumstances aren't easy either."
Uchiha Feng smiled faintly, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes. "Exactly. It's because they're Danzō's subordinates that I killed them and directly destroyed their physical bodies. If they had been ordinary ANBU, I would have built them graves and left them a shred of dignity."
Jiraiya was rendered speechless. He could only sigh silently, then waved his hand. "Forget it. Let's go find Tsunade!"
Uchiha Feng raised a brow, a teasing smile forming on his lips. "Perverted Sage, I heard you have feelings for Tsunade. Is that true?"
Jiraiya froze, an embarrassed blush appearing on his face. "Huh? Who did you hear that from?"
"I was just asking. It's only gossip. I just want to know whether you actually like her or not." Uchiha Feng's gaze was sharp and curious, as though he wanted to uncover something.
Jiraiya's face reddened even further, and he appeared somewhat at a loss as he stammered, "Th-this... well..."
"Fine, then I'll revive Kato Dan and let him rekindle his relationship with Tsunade!" Uchiha Feng spoke lightly, though there was a hint of provocation in his tone.
Jiraiya was instantly startled, panic flashing in his eyes. "No, absolutely not! How can you do that..."
A teasing smile rose on Uchiha Feng's lips, as though he had found Jiraiya's weakness. "Oh? So you really do like Tsunade?"
