Background

Bibi Dong first encountered Jiang Qingyu during two dangerous secret excursions from Spirit Hall. Four years before their reunion, he saved her from a ten-thousand-year soul beast in the Star Dou Great Forest; two years later, he rescued her again after she encountered five ten-thousand-year soul beasts. She had concealed her identity behind a mask during both incidents, which was why Jiang Qingyu did not recognize her. When they reunited, she identified him as her benefactor and openly declared her intention to marry him by force. 2 3

At eighteen, Bibi Dong was already Spirit Hall's Holy Maiden and a Level 53 Soul King. Her talent was regarded as exceptional among the younger generation, and Qian Xunji took pride in having trained her personally.
