Background / History

Bei Bei entered Star Dou Forest with Tang Ya to help her obtain a third soul ring. When Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan observed their battle against Mandala Snakes, Bei Bei cautiously identified himself and Tang Ya as Shrek Academy students. Tang Ya's immediate interest in Jiang Mu provoked Bei Bei's jealousy and killing intent; Jiang Mu's Causal Retribution System subsequently recorded Bei Bei as its first target. His killing-intent index rose from 25% to 65% during their first encounter. 2 3

During the encounter with the five-thousand-year Iron Fist Gorilla, Bei Bei returned only to take Tang Ya away, leaving Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan to face the soul beast. Tang Ya condemned him for abandoning Jiang Mu after Jiang Mu had saved her, and Bei Bei defended his choice by citing the Tang Sect's principle of concealing its true strength from strangers. Tang Ya broke away from him and later expelled him from the Tang Sect. 5 6 8

Jiang Mu transferred the burden of absorbing the Iron Fist Gorilla's soul ring onto Bei Bei through the Revenge System. Bei Bei was overwhelmed by the sudden influx of energy and pain, eventually losing consciousness by a river. Huo Yuhao rescued him, fed him grilled fish, and formed a quick bond with him. 5 8

Bei Bei regretted not immediately pursuing Tang Ya, searched Star Dou Forest for her, and even subdued a thousand-year Mandala Snake in hopes of obtaining her forgiveness. By then, however, Tang Ya had already left the forest with Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan. His resentment toward Jiang Mu continued to rise, reaching 85% killing intent. 9 10

After Jiang Mu later extracted Bei Bei's blood essence remotely, Bei Bei suffered severe pain and collapse again. By the time he arrived at Shrek Academy with Huo Yuhao, he was badly weakened, though his health had partially recovered through resources associated with Mu En. His killing-intent index toward Jiang Mu had reached 90%. 22 27

Personality

Bei Bei presents himself as cautious and courteous when confronted by unknown people, quickly invoking Shrek Academy's name to discourage possible threats. 2

He is deeply attached to Tang Ya, but his pride, jealousy, and distrust of Jiang Mu repeatedly undermine that attachment. He developed killing intent after Tang Ya showed interest in Jiang Mu, abandoned Jiang Mu during the Iron Fist Gorilla battle, and initially refused to pursue Tang Ya after their argument because doing so would damage his pride. 3 5 8

Despite these flaws, Bei Bei demonstrates genuine concern for Tang Ya's safety and for Huo Yuhao after the latter becomes afflicted by blood-essence loss. 8 10 32
