Background / History

Jiang Mu transmigrated to the Douluo world and was taken in by Mother Jiang. He grew up as Jiang Nannan's younger, nominal brother; unlike the expected course of events, Mother Jiang did not fall ill. Before entering an academy, the siblings lived by hunting soul beasts and selling their gains. 1

He awakened twin body martial souls—his hands/arms and heart—but the person overseeing the awakening mistook the subtle manifestation for a failed awakening. Jiang Mu initially possessed no apparent cheat ability and was concerned that he could not contend with Tang San without one. 1

While searching the outskirts of Star Dou Forest for a third soul ring, Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan encountered Tang Ya and Bei Bei. Bei Bei's killing intent toward Jiang Mu activated the Revenge System, which records hostile targets and allows their hostility to be turned into karmic retaliation. 2 3

Jiang Mu protected Tang Ya from a five-thousand-year Iron Fist Gorilla after she injured her ankle. Bei Bei abandoned Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan during the fight, leaving them to face the beast; Jiang Mu subsequently used Bei Bei as the target for the system's backlash transfer while absorbing the gorilla's soul ring. 4 5

Afterward, Tang Ya expelled Bei Bei from the Tang Sect and compensated Jiang Mu with an exam-exempt Shrek Academy admission slot and hidden weapons. Jiang Mu accepted the offer to travel to Shrek City, where he began pursuing his long-term plan to establish a faction of his own. 6 14

In Shrek City, Jiang Mu acquired the Heavenly Secrets Stone and the Blood-Extraction Soul-Refining Creation-Seizing Art. After discovering Tang San and Xiao Wu had developed killing intent toward him, he concealed his own aura as well as those of Jiang Nannan and Mother Jiang, then began testing remote blood extraction on Xu Sanshi. 14 19 20

Jiang Mu enrolled at Shrek Academy while Jiang Nannan returned home to inform Mother Jiang of their safety. He later persuaded Tang Ya to support his future force by challenging her faith in Tang San and promising to improve her Blue Silver Grass martial soul. 26 31

Jiang Mu refined origin essence blood drawn from Huo Yuhao's Spirit Eyes to improve the quality of his hand martial soul, then successfully improved Tang Ya's martial soul as promised. Their relationship deepened following Tang Ya's decision to join his future force. 33

During his time at Shrek, Jiang Mu became involved with Wang Dong'er, repeatedly exploited Huo Yuhao's hostility, and opposed Zhou Yi and Yan Shaozhe's treatment of him. He also used the Soul-Restoring Herb to restore Tang Wutong's consciousness from her remnant soul and housed her within his System Space. 44 59 72 73

After gaining the Golden Dragon Martial Soul and the Avatar Secret Technique, Jiang Mu created an incarnation using a Heaven-and-Earth Embryo and a fragment of his divine soul. The incarnation possesses access to his system and Revenge List and can cultivate independently when Jiang Mu's consciousness is absent. 83 84 86

Jiang Mu withdrew from Shrek Academy with Wang Dong'er after deciding that its prestige could not advance his ambitions as effectively as an independent force. He began planning to secure powerful protectors, seize opportunities before Huo Yuhao, and establish a faction that could eventually become an empire. 89 90 91 92

On his journey north, Jiang Mu encountered Meng Hongchen and Xiao Hongchen in Extreme Cold City. Meng Hongchen repeatedly offered to accompany or assist him, but he declined because her team and powerful background could complicate his mission. He then entered the snowy plains while sharing his perspective with Tang Wutong. 93 94

He subsequently travelled to the Extreme North, where he provoked and defeated the Titan Snow Demon King, Snow Empress, and Ice Empress with blood-essence attacks and transferred damage. He forced Snow Empress and Ice Empress into life-and-death contracts in exchange for helping them survive their lightning tribulations with Millennium Ice Marrow. 95 96 97 98

After killing the Titan Snow Demon King and absorbing its soul ring to reach rank 40, Jiang Mu absorbed four more hundred-thousand-year soul rings from ice-attributed soul beasts. He then operated his incarnation in the Heaven Dou Empire while arranging for Snow Empress to obtain the Ten-Thousand-Year Mysterious Ice Marrow and protect Jiang Nannan, Tang Ya, and Wang Dong'er. 99 100

Jiang Mu assigned Ice Empress to remain in the Extreme North and protect his main body, giving her a phone so she could communicate with Snow Empress. Messages from his companions informed him that Jiang Nannan had safely brought back Mother Jiang and established a storefront in the Star Luo Empire with Tang Ya. Their concern strengthened his determination to protect them, although he concealed how long he intended to remain away. 101

After the Empresses dealt with unrest following the Titan Snow Demon King's death, Jiang Mu continued his incarnation's activities in the Heaven Dou Empire. He directed Snow Empress to the Cold Spring Ancient Well in the Earth Dragon Sect's rear courtyard, explaining how its symbiotic crystal would lead her to the ice marrow. He supplied pills for a possible trade or concealed acquisition, then sent her to protect his companions. 102

His incarnation clashed with local troublemakers and Princess Vina before seeking admission to the imperial academy. He used his cultivation and Golden Dragon Martial Soul to secure the headmaster's interest, falsely claimed to be fourteen, and negotiated privileged access to cultivation facilities and resources. After apologizing to Vina for a damaging accusation, he obtained her help in meeting the Heaven Dou Emperor. 104 105 106 107

Jiang Mu formally accepted the emperor's recruitment offer while privately regarding the promised resources as inferior to what he could already obtain through the Extreme North. The emperor placed him in Class Three alongside Vina, hoping to draw him closer to the imperial family. Jiang Mu instead intended to use the academy to display his talent, attract hostility, and expand his Revenge List. 108

During his academy activities, Jiang Mu discovered twenty additional enemies, mainly five- and six-ring soul masters with maximum killing intent. His retaliation against a group of six thugs caused an explosion that destroyed a noble estate and detonated its soul-tool gunpowder warehouse. Their deaths produced treasure chests, including the Permission to Return to the Past and an Acceleration Ring. He began planning to obtain the Dragon Blood Ginseng from the Speed Clan in the Douluo Continent I era. 107 110

Jiang Mu also came into conflict with Long Aotian, Vina's childhood friend and the Body Sect leader's direct disciple. While presenting his restraint as repayment for insulting Vina, he privately maintained hostile intentions and sought to prevent Long Aotian from recovering and troubling him again. He later confirmed his retaliation plan against the Xuanming Sect and heard reports suggesting that Du Busi was unsuccessfully seeking treatment for Long Aotian's declining cultivation. 112 123

An entity identifying itself as the Heavenly Dao offered Jiang Mu succession and transmitted the Supreme Forgetfulness of Emotion Art. He rejected its demand to sever his good, evil, and true selves because he valued freedom, emotion, relationships, and his humanity. He also questioned whether Douluo possessed a genuine Heavenly Dao rather than merely a plane's will, and reserved further investigation for his main body. 117

At the academy, Jiang Mu defeated Ning Zhe with Golden Dragon's Grip and later defeated Zhao Qian by escaping Gravity Crush with Flash Holy Light Strike and piercing his shoulder. His victories discouraged further challengers. He obtained Vina's assistance in arranging seclusion, left his incarnation cultivating in the empire, and returned his attention to his main body in the Extreme North. 119 126 127 128

Using accumulated martial-soul essence blood, Jiang Mu completed his arms' Second Awakening after another half month of cultivation. He found that Du Busi had survived with only five health points and had fallen to the Soul Douluo level. Opening his accumulated treasure chests yielded two Heaven-and-Earth Embryos, battle armor, a Tribulation Flower, and other equipment. He decided to use one embryo to create a new body for Tang Wutong while reserving the other. 128 130

Before departing, Jiang Mu arranged further help for Snow Empress and Ice Empress. He sent Snow Empress the Tribulation Flower and Four-Character Battle Armor, and supplied ice marrow and foundation-restoring medicinal liquids for Ice Empress. He checked the Extreme North's security, provided defenses against Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's spiritual suppression, and urged both Empresses to cultivate using the resources and techniques he had supplied. 130 131

Jiang Mu then travelled into the Douluo Continent I era, arriving earlier than expected and encountering Ah Yin before she became Tang San's mother. He sought her assistance in reaching the Speed Clan in the Star Luo Empire. Their travels brought them into contact with Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, whose soul-beast hunt devastated a village. Jiang Mu later checked their unconscious status through his system and considered whether eliminating Tang Hao's bloodline could prevent another Tang San from emerging. 132 134 136

After reaching Star Luo Imperial City, Jiang Mu separated from Ah Yin and traded two hundred-thousand-year soul bones to Bai He for the Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon Blood Ginseng. He insisted that their transaction remain private. Shortly afterward, he used his energy-based sniper rifle to defeat an Evil Soul Master attacking Ah Yin, and she agreed to guide him toward Heaven Dou City in repayment. 137 139 140

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Jiang Mu refined the ginseng, combined its energy with a Heaven-and-Earth Embryo, and shaped a new body for Tang Wutong. He protected her remnant soul and guided it into the body using the well's energy, transferring the ritual's exhausting side effects elsewhere. Ah Yin guarded the surroundings, but her interception of a fleeing Medusa Snake brought Dugu Bo to the concealed site. Tang Wutong's soul entered her new body successfully and was left to adapt. 143 144

Jiang Mu harvested numerous Immortal Herbs for his companions while leaving their roots intact, allowed Ah Yin to select two plants other than the Lovesick Heartbreak Red, and proposed that she jointly manage the well as a medicinal garden. He subsequently recruited Dugu Bo through an agreement between equals, promising to save Dugu Yan and protect Dugu Bo's descendants from their martial soul's poison for three generations in exchange for his service. 145 147

After returning to the well, Jiang Mu was greeted by the revived Tang Wutong, who rushed into him and pinned him against a tree. He later questioned her about her new body's abilities and confirmed that its nature-born constitution accelerated soul-power absorption, even while she was walking. 148 149

Appearance

Jiang Mu is a handsome young man whose appearance repeatedly draws attention from Tang Ya, Wang Dong'er, Xiao Xiao, and other students. When using his first soul skill, his hands and forearms become jade-like. 2 7 43

  • Jade-colored hands and forearms while Jade Transformation is active. 7
  • Possesses a physique capable of directly contesting an Iron Fist Gorilla's blows with support from his heart martial soul. 4
  • His jade-like arm resembles a figure from Tang San's past, causing Tang San to view him as a potential threat. 18
  • His incarnation has a deliberately plain and unremarkable appearance, chosen for practicality rather than resemblance to Jiang Mu's own appearance. 84 86
  • His incarnation wears luxurious clothing selected from storage soul tools collected by Snow Empress from powerful individuals who died in the Extreme North. 104
  • After his arms' Second Awakening, golden light radiates from both arms, with golden energy extending through his shoulders, hands, and fingers. 130

Personality

Jiang Mu is ambitious and survival-oriented. After transmigrating, he rejects an ordinary life and seeks power, wealth, romantic partners, and eventually an independent faction. He is willing to take calculated risks, but Bei Bei's betrayal reinforces his belief that he must be cautious and cannot rely on assumed character traits or goodwill. 1 5 6 25

He is protective of Jiang Nannan and Mother Jiang, prioritizing their safety when deciding whether to take risks or remain at Shrek Academy. He shares cultivation resources with Jiang Nannan while withholding the full truth of his system. 5 19 26

Jiang Mu is also manipulative and vindictive toward those on his Revenge List. He deliberately provokes killing intent, extracts blood essence from enemies, and uses the Cause-and-Effect Retribution permission to engineer unfavorable situations for targets such as Wang Dong'er. 11 20 34 35

Although he often treats relationships and alliances strategically, Jiang Mu is willing to risk himself to protect Wang Dong'er and remains attentive to the safety of the people he considers his own. His refusal to accept Shrek Academy's compensation for endangering a student also reflects his stated belief that a human life cannot be priced. 70 71 72

Jiang Mu prefers long-term control over impulsive revenge. He spared Xu Sanshi to avoid prematurely provoking the Xuanming Sect, created an incarnation to separate his true body from danger, and withdrew from Shrek to pursue resources and powerful subordinates on his own terms. 81 83 89 91

His public arrogance is often deliberate. At the imperial academy, he uses provocative introductions, insults, and overwhelming victories to attract enemies who can become cultivation resources and sources of treasure chests. Conversely, he conceals his contempt for the emperor and performs interest in imperial benefits when political cooperation suits his plans. 104 107 108 119

Jiang Mu strongly values personal freedom, emotion, and individuality. He refuses the Heavenly Dao's proposed emotionless succession despite its potential power, questioning both the legitimacy and fairness of the authority making the offer. He also states that his future faction should bring genuine reform rather than merely replace the current rulers. 117 123

He can acknowledge mistakes when doing so is warranted or strategically useful. After recognizing that his accusation had harmed Vina's reputation and feelings, he apologized and secured a fragile reconciliation. His concern for his allies also becomes increasingly practical, expressed through resurrection planning, tribulation aid, defensive equipment, and medicinal resources. 106 130 131

Jiang Mu's sarcasm and emotional reserve can undermine his interactions with others. He frequently fails to grasp Tang Wutong's jealousy and treats Ah Yin bluntly despite depending on her guidance. He also acknowledges his poor sense of direction and relies on Ah Yin's Blue Silver Grass network to navigate. 102 136 137 140

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Jiang Mu possesses twin body martial souls: his hands/arms and his heart. His combat development focuses on improving hardness, speed, and strength. 1 3

  • His first two soul rings enhance hardness and speed respectively. 3
  • His heart martial soul accelerates its beating to provide additional energy and sustain his fighting output. 4
  • His third soul skill, obtained from the Iron Fist Gorilla, enhances strength. 5
  • Refining Spirit Eyes martial-soul origin essence from Huo Yuhao removes impurities from and improves the quality of Jiang Mu's hand martial soul, potentially allowing it to undergo a second awakening. 33
  • Possesses Full Innate Soul Power, which he disclosed to Zhou Yi while explaining his Body Martial Soul. 47
  • Accumulated Body Martial Soul essence from Du Busi, Huo Yuhao, and Long Aotian for his Second Awakening; Du Busi supplied the largest amount and especially pure essence. 128
  • Completed the Second Awakening of his arms, producing golden energy and extensive bone reconstruction that increased their physical power. The manifestation resembles a partial Golden Body Dharma Aspect, but no complete full-body form or new soul-power rank is established. 130

Golden Dragon Martial Soul

Jiang Mu obtained the Golden Dragon Martial Soul as an additional martial soul through a system reward. Its innate draconic might was strong enough to alarm Snow Empress and Ice Empress despite Jiang Mu's initially low strength. 83 99

  • Its first soul ring is the more-than-one-hundred-thousand-year ring of the Titan Snow Demon King. 99 100
  • Tang Wutong selected the Golden Dragon partly because of its potential compatibility with her Clear Sky Hammer and its complementary nature with Wang Dong'er's Light Goddess Butterfly. 83
  • Jiang Mu intends to use the Golden Dragon Martial Soul through his incarnation to display exceptional potential and attract hostile targets to his Revenge List. 86
  • Possesses ultimate strength and dominant dragon might that suppresses Beast Martial Souls and can inspire an instinctive urge to submit. Jiang Mu compares its general abilities to those of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, but with greater power. 107 108 119 127
  • Golden Dragon's Grip — a claw attack used to tear through Ning Zhe's Raging Tide Whirlwind and strike his shoulder. 119
  • Flash Holy Light Strike — his second soul skill; increases the aura around his dragon claws and enables rapid displacement followed by an attack. He used it to escape Zhao Qian's Gravity Crush and pierce his shoulder. 126
  • Its second ring appeared yellow during the fight with Zhao Qian despite actually being a hundred-thousand-year ring. 126
  • Can overcome defensive Martial Souls and opponents several levels above him through the difference in martial-soul quality, although higher-level control skills can still affect him when side-effect transfer is inactive. 126
  • Potential fusion with Tang Wutong, Wang Dong'er, or both remains speculative. Vina also suspects possible compatibility after experiencing an unusual martial-soul reaction, but no fusion skill with her is confirmed. 83 127

Jade Transformation

Jiang Mu's first soul skill transforms his hands and forearms into a jade-like state. 7

  • Used to block Wang Dong'er's kick and defeat her during their dispute over a pendant. 18
  • Allowed him to strike back the Iron Fist Gorilla and protect Tang Ya. 4
  • Provides the hardness component of his hand-focused combat style. 3 7

Revenge System

The Revenge System records people who possess killing intent toward Jiang Mu and enables him to inflict karmic retribution upon them. 3

  • Tracks a target's name, strength, killing-intent index, revenge range, and health bar. 3 22
  • Only targets with killing intent toward Jiang Mu can be added; he cannot freely target anyone. 3
  • Transfers bodily strain, cultivation burdens, damage, and soul-ring absorption backlash onto listed targets. 3 5 97 99
  • Initially has a restriction against tormenting targets to death and allows adjustment of its revenge range. Later events nevertheless show enemies dying during his attacks and cultivation siphoning, with their deaths confirmed by the Revenge List. 22 110
  • Produces treasure chests as rewards for retaliating against people on the Revenge List. 5 83
  • Recorded targets include Bei Bei, Xu Sanshi, Wang Dong'er, Huo Yuhao, Tang San, Xiao Wu, Zhou Yi, and Snow Empress. 19 22 27 44 96
  • Tang San has become Jiang Mu's primary burden-bearer; Jiang Mu transferred the costs of blood extraction, incarnation creation, soul-splitting, combat damage, and multiple soul-ring absorptions to him. 24 84 86 97 99 100
  • Vina is also recorded on his list. Later targets include Long Aotian, Du Busi, and the earlier-era Tang Hao and Tang Xiao. 106 112 128 130 136
  • Recorded twenty additional hostile five- and six-ring soul masters with maximum killing intent after his initial imperial academy negotiations. By the time of Tang Wutong's body reconstruction, his Heaven Dou activities had accumulated thousands of lesser enemies. 107 144
  • Can reveal a target's weakened or unconscious condition, allowing him to check Tang Hao and Tang Xiao without being physically present. 136
  • Tang San's display later showed a primary health bar at 10% and a second full bar. Jiang Mu suspected a substitute or alternate survival method; signs of the second bar's activation in the earlier era remained unexplained. 117 136
  • Side-effect transfer also supports dangerous herb harvesting and prolonged resurrection work by redirecting harmful effects and spiritual exhaustion. 143 145

Blood-Extraction Soul-Refining Creation-Seizing Art

A cultivation technique that lets Jiang Mu remotely draw blood essence from targets on his Revenge List. 19 20

  • Extracted Xu Sanshi's ordinary blood essence and Xuanwu-bloodline essence, leaving him near death. 20
  • Can draw blood using a target's mental energy, allowing Jiang Mu to use Tang San's own mental power to extract Tang San's essence blood. 24
  • Ordinary blood essence contains life energy and can fuel escape techniques or blood-essence attacks; its strength depends on the original owner's power. 22
  • Specialized blood essence may improve or evolve offense- and defense-oriented martial souls. 22
  • Refined Spirit Eyes martial-soul origin essence from Huo Yuhao to improve the quality and strength of his own hand martial soul, potentially preparing it for a second awakening. 33
  • Can convert high-level essence blood into immediate attacks, including Clear Sky Hammer phantoms, golden phoenixes, and other manifestations. He used Title Douluo-level essence blood taken from Yan Shaozhe to overwhelm powerful soul beasts in the Extreme North. 95 97
  • Continued draining Huo Yuhao and Xu Sanshi for resources, while also collecting blood from Yan Shaozhe after leaving Shrek Academy. 83 92
  • Later successfully siphoned cultivation energy from hostile targets. During his experiment on the thugs, their health abruptly fell from approximately eighty to zero, preventing the prolonged extraction he had expected. 110
  • Body Martial Soul essence extracted from Du Busi, Huo Yuhao, and Long Aotian supplied the resources for his arms' completed Second Awakening. 128 130
  • Tiger Roar Ape Cry Strike — an essence-blood attack carrying the force of seven or eight Soul Douluo, used to repel attacking monkeys and tear apart those that failed to escape. 134

Cause-and-Effect Retribution Regulator

A system permission obtained after opening a treasure chest. It allows Jiang Mu to stipulate actions for an enemy through forced causality or an engineered accident. 34

  • Can directly guide a target into performing an assigned act. 34
  • Can instead create a butterfly-effect accident that leads to the desired outcome. 34
  • Used on Wang Dong'er to make her approach him, become highly sensitive to his touch, and appear to bystanders as though they were a couple arguing. 35

Avatar Secret Technique

Jiang Mu obtained an Avatar Secret Technique together with a Heaven-and-Earth Embryo. It permits him to forge an incarnation and establish its consciousness by placing a split fragment of his divine soul within it. 83 84 86

  • The resulting incarnation bears the Golden Dragon Martial Soul and can access Jiang Mu's system interface and Revenge List. 86
  • Jiang Mu can move his consciousness between his true body and the incarnation; when unattended, the incarnation continues cultivating on its own. 86
  • He intends to use the incarnation to act in other empires, cultivate independently, display his potential, and draw hostility away from his true body. 86 100
  • The soul-splitting process inflicted extreme harm that Jiang Mu transferred to Tang San. 85 86
  • The incarnation's strength is calculated separately. Jiang Mu proposed eventually cultivating it to God King level and devouring it, although Wang Dong'er pointed out that godhood requires more than ordinary cultivation. This remains a plan rather than an accomplished advancement. 86
  • Used the incarnation to join the Heaven Dou Empire and its imperial academy while leaving his main body under Ice Empress's protection in the Extreme North. 101 102 108
  • After arranging seclusion, he left the imperial incarnation cultivating independently and returned to his main body's preparations. 128
  • Considers the incarnation replaceable if destroyed and later contemplated creating another with his remaining embryo. No second incarnation is confirmed. 102 144
  • Bodies created from Heaven-and-Earth Embryos possess enhanced ordinary cultivation speed as nature-born bodies. 149

Life-and-Death Binding Contract

Jiang Mu can impose a life-and-death soul contract stronger than the Shared-Heart Death Lock. The contract binds the contractor's life to his own and compels obedience. 97 98

  • Snow Empress and Ice Empress were forced into contracts after their attempt to kill Jiang Mu failed. 97 98
  • In return, Jiang Mu promised to help them survive their lightning tribulations by obtaining Millennium Ice Marrow. 96 98
  • Snow Empress was later assigned to protect Jiang Nannan, Tang Ya, and Wang Dong'er and to secure the Ten-Thousand-Year Mysterious Ice Marrow. 100
  • Ice Empress was assigned to protect his main body in the Extreme North. 101
  • Their obedience gives Jiang Mu access to the Extreme North's accumulated treasures, including hundred-thousand-year soul bones and some two- or three-hundred-thousand-year specimens left by beasts that died under tribulation. 108
  • Later supplemented his promised tribulation assistance with a Tribulation Flower, Four-Character Battle Armor, ice marrow, and foundation-restoring medicinal liquids. 130

Equal-Party Service Contract

Jiang Mu also uses contracts distinct from the Empresses' master-servant binding. His agreement with Dugu Bo was explicitly between equals and imposed backlash on either party for breaking its terms. 147

  • Jiang Mu promised to save Dugu Yan and ensure that poison would not end Dugu Bo's bloodline for three generations. 147
  • Dugu Bo agreed to join Jiang Mu's faction and obey his orders. 147
  • Jiang Mu identified the cause of Dugu Bo's condition as a martial-soul defect: without a venom sac, the Soul Master's body stores the poison. 147

Temporal Travel

The Permission to Return to the Past allows Jiang Mu to travel to the era of Douluo Continent I. He obtained it from a system treasure chest after retaliating against the thugs. 110

  • Planned to use it to trade with the Speed Clan for the ginseng needed to revive Tang Wutong. 110
  • Travelled through spatial teleportation and arrived earlier than expected, encountering Ah Yin before she became Tang San's mother. 132
  • Remained able to communicate with Tang Wutong and consult his Revenge List in the earlier era. 132 136
  • The precise rules governing timeline changes, return travel, and Tang San's second health bar remain unresolved. 136

Body Reconstruction and Resurrection

Jiang Mu can apply embryo refinement, soul manipulation, and external energy to construct a body for a disembodied soul. His successful reconstruction of Tang Wutong's body expanded beyond the earlier restoration of her consciousness. 73 130 143 144

  • Refined the Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon Blood Ginseng because Tang Wutong had no physical body with which to consume it. 143
  • Combined its energy with a Heaven-and-Earth Embryo and shaped the resulting body after Tang Wutong. 143
  • Protected her remnant soul from dissipation and used the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well's energy to guide it into the body. 143
  • Redirected the ritual's spiritual fatigue and exhaustion through side-effect transfer. 143
  • Successfully integrated her soul with the body, after which she required time to adapt and awaken. 144 148
  • The resulting Heaven-and-Earth Body accelerates Tang Wutong's soul-power absorption, addressing some of the limitations caused by her damaged soul and lost cultivation potential. 130 149

Supreme Forgetfulness of Emotion Art

An entity claiming to be the Heavenly Dao transmitted this technique while offering Jiang Mu the chance to become its successor. He possesses knowledge of it but has not adopted its cultivation path. 117

  • Requires severing the Three Corpses: the good self, evil self, and true self. 117
  • Aims to eliminate personal desires and ultimately transform the practitioner into the Heavenly Dao. 117
  • Jiang Mu rejected the required loss of emotion and individuality, questioned the source's legitimacy, and planned further investigation through his main body rather than his remnant-soul incarnation. 117

Auxiliary System Rewards

  • Heavenly Secrets Stone — conceals heavenly secrets and auras; Jiang Mu applied its protection to himself, Jiang Nannan, and Mother Jiang. 19
  • Blind-Spot-Free Clairvoyance — allows Jiang Mu to see through Zhou Yi's disguise despite her mask. 44
  • Ice-Cold Domain — a purple-grade system reward; its full capabilities remain undisclosed. 68
  • Soul-Restoring Herb — restored the consciousness of Tang Wutong's remnant soul. 68 73
  • Shared Vision — links Jiang Mu's senses to Tang Wutong's remnant soul, allowing her to observe the outside world from within the System Space. 74
  • Identity Tags: “Fortune Bearer” and “Heaven-Favored One” — labels displayed in his system profile. 9
  • One billion Gold Soul Coins — obtained from a system treasure chest. 44

  • Acceleration Ring — accelerates cultivation and pill absorption; Jiang Mu also considered using it to increase cultivation-energy siphoning speed. 110
  • Two additional Heaven-and-Earth Embryos — obtained before his temporal journey; one was used for Tang Wutong's new body, leaving one in reserve. 130 144
  • Tribulation Flower, Four-Character Battle Armor, Spatial Ring, Counterattack Mirror, and processed Sniper Cannon — rewards obtained from accumulated treasure chests after his Second Awakening. 130

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Storage ring — a one-cubic-meter ring given to him by Jiang Nannan; he uses it to conceal items despite possessing system storage. 22
  • Heavenly Secrets Stone — a rule-based concealment item used to hide his family's auras. 19
  • Thousand-year soul bone — auctioned in Shrek City for 350,000 gold soul coins. 14
  • Butterfly and rabbit pendants — selected as gifts for Jiang Nannan and Tang Ya; the butterfly pendant became the source of his conflict with Wang Dong'er. 17
  • Heaven-and-Earth Embryo — a system-provided material Jiang Mu used to create his Golden Dragon incarnation. He later obtained two more, used one to reconstruct Tang Wutong's body, and retained the other. 83 84 86 130 143 144
  • Modified phones — communication devices Jiang Mu gave to Jiang Nannan, Tang Ya, and Wang Dong'er before leaving to seek powerful allies. He also supplied one to Ice Empress for video calls with Snow Empress; the phones can transmit items through red packets. 91 101 130
  • Soul-Restoring Herb — a consumed system reward used to restore Tang Wutong's consciousness. 68 73
  • Acceleration Ring — system equipment that accelerates cultivation and pill absorption. Its potential effect on cultivation siphoning was considered by Jiang Mu but not precisely quantified. 110

  • Wang Dong'er — Jiang Mu's former Shrek roommate, initially encountered while disguised as Wang Dong. • Huo Yuhao — A hostile Shrek student whose killing intent toward Jiang Mu reaches 99% and later 100%. • Yan Shaozhe — A Shrek Academy teacher and dean who handled the aftermath of Ma Xiaotao's attack on Wang Dong'er. Jiang Mu frequently indulges her requests while failing to recognize the full extent of her possessiveness. 102 113 123 140 He sought to prevent her damaged soul from being forced to devour and merge with Wang Dong'er, obtained the ginseng needed for her revival, and constructed a new Heaven-and-Earth Body for her. She successfully revived and later confirmed its accelerated cultivation. 130 139 143 144 148 149
  • Snow Empress — One of the Three Heavenly Kings of the Extreme North. • Princess Vina — An imperial princess and Jiang Mu's Class Three classmate. Her martial soul reacts unusually to his Golden Dragon, prompting an unconfirmed suspicion of a fusion skill. 106 117 127
  • Heaven Dou Emperor — Recruited Jiang Mu after recognizing the Golden Dragon Martial Soul's value, offered protection and priority resources, and placed him beside Vina to encourage imperial attachment. Jiang Mu accepted outwardly while concealing his contempt and independent resources. The emperor privately considered using Vina, Jiang Mu's loyalty, and possible descendants to strengthen the imperial family. 107 108 114 117
  • Imperial academy headmaster — An eighty-eighth-rank Soul Douluo with the Heaven Star Furnace Martial Soul who welcomed Jiang Mu as a rare commoner genius. He offered cultivation resources and facilitated his meeting with the emperor. 105 106
  • Long Aotian — Vina's childhood friend and the Body Sect leader's direct disciple. His jealousy and disdain brought him into conflict with Jiang Mu, who regarded the Body Sect as a likely future enemy and secretly sought to prevent his recovery. Long Aotian later became a contributor of Body Martial Soul essence for Jiang Mu's Second Awakening. 109 110 112 123 128
  • Du Busi — Body Sect leader and Long Aotian's master. He became Jiang Mu's largest and purest source of Body Martial Soul essence. He offered her herbs and invited her to manage the site jointly; her acceptance is not established in their initial discussion. 143 145 Jiang Mu subsequently expressed willingness to treat her as a human being rather than reduce her identity to that of a soul beast. 148
  • Tang Hao and Tang Xiao — Earlier-era Clear Sky Hammer soul masters whose hunt devastated the village where Jiang Mu met Ah Yin.
