Background

Zhuge Ming is a transmigrator from another world. Six years before his martial soul awakening, he was playing a Records of the Three Kingdoms game during a thunderstorm when his computer exploded, sending him to Douluo Continent. In his new life, his father was an ordinary Pelagi Kingdom soldier who died on the battlefield, leaving Zhou Xuan to support Zhuge Ming and his elder sister, Zhuge Tong. 1

At age six, Zhuge Ming awakened the blue-covered, book-type martial soul Records of the Three Kingdoms. Its spectacular golden radiance initially suggested exceptional potential, but two crystal-ball tests found no innate soul power. He was therefore considered unable to cultivate and at risk of eventual conscription. 2

After returning home, the previously blank book reacted within his room. Golden text appeared on its first page, revealing Zhao Yun and the martial soul’s territorial-conquest system. Zhuge Ming learned that occupying territory, rather than meditating, raises his soul power. 2 3

Inspired by his admiration for Shu-Han and Chancellor Zhuge, Zhuge Ming names his expanding power the Shu-Han Empire. He frames its ultimate purpose as unifying the continent and fulfilling the unfinished ambition of restoring Han rule. 7

Zhuge Ming captures three eastern villages, installs garrisons, removes Zhuge Zhong from leadership, and appoints Gasen as acting village chief. He also repels Niu Chu’s bandit group, using Guan Yu’s loyalty-altering skill to recruit Han Feng. 13 15 16

Rather than launch a costly direct assault on Langya City’s 30,000 defenders, Zhuge Ming focuses on Owens, its strongest commander.
