Background / History

Dai Weisi was the Star Luo Empire's First Prince and eldest of the four imperial sons. Under Star Luo's tradition of fratricidal succession, he sought to remove every rival to his claim: he personally killed the Second Prince and forced the Third Prince, Dai Mubai, into exile. He regarded the supposedly crippled Fourth Prince, Dai Yunzhao, as his final remaining threat. 1

Dai Weisi had previously sent Dai Yunzhao to the northern front in the expectation that he would die there. Instead, Dai Yunzhao repeatedly repelled the Heaven Dou Empire and gained considerable prestige among Star Luo's soldiers and generals, making him an increasingly dangerous political rival. 1

Believing Dai Yunzhao to be harmless due to his apparent disability, Black Panther Beast martial soul, and half-level innate soul power, Dai Weisi brought him to a palace courtyard and arranged his assassination. He summoned personal guards, including six Soul Emperors, and declared that Dai Yunzhao's death would be attributed to his cold poison. 1 3

The ambush collapsed when Dai Yunzhao's concealed strength awakened. Dai Weisi was forced back by a bare-handed punch despite being a level 40 Soul Ancestor, then suffered severe injuries from Storm Nebula Split. His six Soul Emperor guards were killed by Shadow. 2 3

Dai Weisi attempted to resist with his White Tiger martial soul and soul skills, but was decisively defeated in a one-on-one confrontation. After accepting that he was no match for Dai Yunzhao, he requested death; Dai Yunzhao allowed him to retain a complete body, and Shadow killed him by driving a dagger into his heart. 3 4

Personality

He is also prideful and values the appearance of absolute control. He initially summons outside guards not only to secure victory, but to make Dai Yunzhao despair before dying. When his supporters hesitate and Dai Yunzhao exposes the limits of his influence, he loses his composure. 2

His confidence collapses as he discovers Dai Yunzhao's hidden martial soul, combat strength, intelligence network, and loyal Shadow guard. By the end of their battle, he acknowledges Dai Yunzhao's superiority and accepts his death. 3
