Background / History

Dai Mubai was the Star Luo Emperor’s third son. After Dai Weisi killed the Second Prince, Dai Mubai lived in fear of becoming the next victim and fled Star Luo for the Heaven Dou Empire. He became a Shrek Academy student, where Flender, Zhao Wuji, and other academy figures later accompanied his return journey. 1 21

Following Dai Weisi’s death, the Star Luo court and Heaven Dou interests positioned Dai Mubai as a possible successor. His return was supported by royal guards, Star Luo troops sent for the handover, and Shrek-associated protectors; Sword Douluo Chen Xin had previously served as an escort before Ning Fengzhi chose to abandon the mission. 14 17 18

Personality

Dai Mubai is portrayed as irresponsible and unwilling to endure Star Luo’s brutal succession struggle. He lacked the resolve to challenge Dai Weisi, fled the empire after the Second Prince’s death, and was overwhelmed when the prospect of inheriting the throne was placed before him. 6 21

Despite his fear, he shows concern for his companions. When Shadow and Dai Yunzhao’s forces overwhelmed the group at Three Gorges Pass, Dai Mubai stepped forward to protect Flender, Zhao Wuji, and the others, ultimately demanding a one-on-one duel with Dai Yunzhao. 20 21

Dai Mubai possesses the Star Luo imperial family’s Evil Eye White Tiger martial soul. Its status as the expected royal bloodline was central to the effort to restore him as a candidate for the throne. 1 5 6

Flight from Star Luo

Dai Mubai fled Star Luo after Dai Weisi killed the Second Prince and established dominance over the imperial succession. In Heaven Dou, he became associated with Shrek Academy rather than confronting the conflict at home. 1 21

Return to Claim the Throne

After Dai Weisi’s death, Dai Mubai returned toward Star Luo with allies from Shrek Academy and both empires. He was optimistic that his family intended him to inherit, unaware that Dai Yunzhao had prepared an ambush at Three Gorges Pass. 14 17 18

Battle of Three Gorges Pass

Dai Yunzhao’s eight hundred border soldiers trapped Mubai’s party at Three Gorges Pass. With his protectors wounded and his route blocked, Dai Mubai first attempted to renounce the throne and leave Star Luo permanently. When that failed, he challenged Dai Yunzhao to a duel. 20 21

Dai Mubai launched White Tiger Intense Light Wave, but Dai Yunzhao evaded it through War King Blood Wheel Mark, appeared at close range, and drove his blood wheels into Mubai’s chest. Dai Mubai died instantly. 22

Return of the Body

Xiong Ao and the Blood Character Battalion later brought Dai Mubai’s corpse back toward the Star Luo border, presenting it to officials who had expected to receive the living Third Prince. 26
