Finally Got It

Akimichi Takashi was miserable inside. Nara Saku had said that, to give young master Asuma Sarutobi a healthy environment to grow up in, he had challenged Uchiha Ling for an entire semester.

Getting run around like a dog every day had been humiliating for him too. Who knew how much extra training he had secretly put in just for their daily sparring lessons?

It was finally over. He had done everything he could.

The two stood in the training ground. After waiting a moment, Uchiha Ling asked, "Akimichi Takashi, why aren't you wearing earplugs yet?"

Akimichi Takashi grinned. "Hehe, after running laps around the Hidden Leaf Village with you every morning and getting roasted by you every morning, I've long since trained myself. I'm immune to your little bits of trash talk."

"Oh? You're that confident?"

"For the final spar, stop just dodging and running me around. Let me see what you look like when you go all out again!"

"See it again? You've seen me go all out?"

"When you fought young master Asuma Sarutobi at the end of last semester, could it be... oh?"

Asuma Sarutobi's face darkened with black lines. What did that mean? Had Uchiha Ling not even gone all out when he humiliated him so badly last semester?

I don't believe it!

That was too humiliating!

Akimichi Takashi charged at Uchiha Ling, throwing a fist at his chest.

He had assumed Uchiha Ling would raise a hand to catch his punch, so he secretly tensed his arm, intending to make Uchiha Ling suffer a little.

Asuma Sarutobi nodded in satisfaction, then glanced at Kurenai Yuhi, who stood over ten meters away from him.

Since the beginning of this semester, Kurenai Yuhi had kept her distance from him. He knew that she often went to the training ground with Uchiha Ling after school for extra practice.

Asuma slowly tilted his head back and slowly closed his eyes.

Nara Saku was exceptionally excited. After all his hard training, Akimichi Takashi had actually used the Akimichi Clan's secret technique, the Multi-Size Technique!

It seemed his decision had been correct. He had both pleased young master Asuma Sarutobi and helped Akimichi Takashi improve.

Then Nara Saku's expression immediately changed. He heard Akimichi Takashi's provocation.

No, why are you provoking him?

After hitting Uchiha Ling, Akimichi Takashi pointed at him and shouted excitedly:

"Uchiha Ling! I've put up with you for a long time! What are you acting all high and mighty for? Did your act fail?

Why didn't you dodge? Did your legs go weak again? Why don't you go sleep in separate beds?"

Uchiha Ling froze, then was so angry that he laughed.

Had he become like this just because he spent too much time around him?

Yamano frowned. What kind of nonsense were kids these days saying about sleeping in separate beds?

Uchiha Ling smiled. "Akimichi Takashi, you have earned my approval.

Since you want to see what I look like when I go all out, then I'll grant your wish.

Be grateful. You're the first person to see me go all out."

Akimichi Takashi vaguely sensed that something was wrong, but with the atmosphere built up to this point, how could he possibly back down?

He watched Uchiha Ling take off his clothes!

Uchiha Ling pulled up his pant legs and removed two weighted straps from his legs!

He tossed the weighted straps onto a tree trunk to the side.

The trunk sank under their weight.

Akimichi Takashi swallowed with difficulty. This was bad. Uchiha Ling had been wearing such heavy weights while dodging his punches the entire time?

Uchiha Ling then lifted the clothes around his waist and removed the weighted strap there.

This weighted strap was tossed onto the tree as well.

Crack!

A horizontal branch snapped under the weight!

The weighted straps and branch crashed to the ground, sending up clouds of dust.

Might Guy felt heavyhearted. So Uchiha Ling had been wearing weights every day while running laps around the Hidden Leaf Village with him?

No wonder... no wonder he had felt that he could easily surpass Uchiha Ling.

Uchiha Ling's entire body relaxed. He said to Akimichi Takashi:

"As expected of someone who has trained with me for half a year. You actually managed to touch me while I was wearing weights. Now that I've taken them off, can you withstand this attack?"

Uchiha Ling raised a foot and slowly walked toward Akimichi Takashi.

Akimichi Takashi was extremely nervous. He crossed his arms before his chest, tensed every muscle in his body, bent his knees, and prepared to dodge at any moment.

Uchiha Ling suddenly exerted force with one step, using the Multi-Layer Chakra Body Flicker Technique.

The first layer of chakra in his feet had already been there.

The second layer was chakra he had extracted and sent into his feet.

He had not yet mastered the three-layer Chakra Body Flicker Technique, but the chakra erupting from the acupoints in his legs served as the third layer.

The White Fang Flow Body Technique had incredible compatibility. When used with the Multi-Layer Chakra Body Flicker Technique, it was equivalent to always adding another layer.

Uchiha Ling was extremely satisfied with his performance. The Body Flicker Technique was too powerful. Unfortunately, in a single battle, one could usually only use the Body Flicker Technique once.

Once Akimichi Takashi was airborne, he felt a large hand seize his ankle like an eagle's claw.

He was swung around like a hammer, round and round, so fast that the contents of his stomach were thrown up into his throat.

Stop swinging me! If this goes on, I'm going to throw up!

Uchiha Ling! Do you want all our classmates to have the rice balls and miso soup I ate for lunch raining down on their heads?

He was grateful when the horizontal swing turned into an angled one.

Then he was hurled into the air.

In midair, Akimichi Takashi covered his mouth to keep himself from vomiting.

If he threw up now, it would turn into a shower of scattered flowers.

After crashing heavily to the ground, he stared up at the sky in despair.

Why had he been stupid enough to provoke Uchiha Ling?

Uchiha Ling walked over, patted Akimichi Takashi's face, and whispered:

"Has anyone told you that you've lost weight?

Look at you. To challenge me, you've gotten so skinny that you even have a jawline now!"

Akimichi Takashi no longer wanted to vomit, nor did his back hurt anymore. He shot upright from the ground and stared at Uchiha Ling in horror.

"What?! I lost weight?"

He was from the Akimichi Clan. How could he possibly lose weight?
