Transmigration and famine

Zhang Changji and Fang Zhixing die and transmigrate together into Crouching Ox Village, a famine-stricken mountain settlement. While Fang Zhixing becomes the villager “Big Ox,” Zhang Changji awakens as an undersized puppy and angrily rejects Fang Zhixing's nickname for him, insisting that his surname remains Zhang. 2
