Dugu Yan enters the confrontation between Su Li, Ning Rongrong, and the Power Clan in Heaven Dou City. Manifesting her Jade Phosphor Serpent and two soul rings, she forces the clan members to apologize to the woman they had targeted and threatens them with poison if they continue. Upon seeing Su Li, she immediately identifies him in her thoughts as her future husband. 16 17

She then befriends Ning Rongrong by flattering her and endorsing a future relationship between Ning and Su Li. Her real purpose is to gain opportunities to spend time with Su Li and gradually win his affection. 17 18

Confession to Dugu Bo
