Background / History
After Di Tian recognized Yun Feng as the Gold Dragon King, Yun Feng specifically requested that he send Bi Ji as their contact. Di Tian subsequently arranged for Bi Ji to replace Myriad Demon King at the Spirit Pagoda and ordered that Yun Feng's identity be kept secret—even from the Silver Dragon King. 34 35
Di Tian arranged her transfer to the Mingdu Spirit Pagoda. Qiangu Dongfeng then proposed assigning the Spirit Pagoda's healing-type Title Douluo to protect Yun Feng, both to support humanity's supposed hope against the Abyss and to reduce Ya Li's influence over her. Chen Xinjie accepted the arrangement. Bi Ji's fabricated background identified her as a member of the Spirit Pagoda branch in Star Luo City. 36 37
Bi Ji entered the Spirit Pagoda under the identity Qing Zhi, a Rank 94 life-attribute healing-type Title Douluo. When alone with Yun Feng, she revealed herself and explained that the Silver Dragon King was infiltrating the Spirit Pagoda through fabricated identities. Bi Ji accepted Yun Feng as her lord, while clarifying that she would still answer a direct summons from the Silver Dragon King. 37
Yun Feng brought Bi Ji back to the War God Hall, where she was publicly installed as the Spirit Pagoda's representative caretaker. There, Bi Ji met Tang Wulin and offered to extract the Gold Dragon King's power from him, but Yun Feng refused because Tang San's divine consciousness remained within Tang Wulin. 38 39
Five years later, Yun Feng allowed Bi Ji to advance to Super Douluo so she would no longer need to suppress her strength while acting as Yun Feng's protector. 45
When Yun Feng secretly left Bright Capital, Bi Ji eventually located her in the Far North. She accompanied Yun Feng through the Far North, the Ice Sea, and Heaven Dou City, providing protection, reconnaissance, historical intelligence, and healing support. 55 56 60 63
After taking control of the Icefire Yin Yang Well's plant-type Ferocious Beasts, Yun Feng included Bi Ji and Snow Whisper in her distribution of suitable immortal herbs. Bi Ji was deeply moved by the consideration and, together with Snow Whisper, agreed to keep watch while Yun Feng entered seclusion. 67
While Yun Feng stayed at the Blacksmith Association under the identity Yun Xue, Bi Ji was publicly presented to Zhenhua and Mu Ye as Qing Zhi, a Rank 95 healing-type Super Douluo. She assisted Zhenhua during his Heavenly Forging, protected the forging site, and restored his condition with her life energy after the heavenly tribulation. 75 76 77
After Yun Feng's group was intercepted by Na Nali, the Black Empress, and the Dark Blood Demon, Bi Ji stepped forward to shield Yun Feng and Snow Whisper. Her true Rank 98 cultivation was exposed during the confrontation, and she willingly poured life energy into Yun Feng so that Yun Feng could assume her Limit Douluo form. 81
Yun Feng subsequently forged a custom set of Two-Word Battle Armor for Bi Ji in the Mingdou Mountains. Named Jade, the armor was designed around Bi Ji's physical structure and can be worn in both her human and Emerald Swan forms. 87 88
Bi Ji and Snow Whisper waited beside Devil Island for more than two years while Yun Feng absorbed Destructive Power within it. Bi Ji remained confident in Yun Feng's survival because she could sense that her aura was stable, and she welcomed Yun Feng upon her return nearly three years later. 93 94
When the North Sea Fleet approached Devil Island to investigate its anomaly, Bi Ji departed with Yun Feng, Snow Whisper, and Na Nali to avoid discovery. She instinctively offered to carry Yun Feng, but Yun Feng demonstrated that she could now fly independently. 95
Before returning to Bright Capital, Yun Feng instructed Bi Ji to bring Snow Whisper there. Bi Ji reported Gu Yuena's request for a meeting and expressed anxiety about it; Yun Feng reassured her that she would protect the Soul Beasts and asserted her authority as the Gold Dragon King. 104
When Yun Feng openly confronted Gu Yuena, Bi Ji publicly chose the Gold Dragon King over the Silver Dragon King. Though she apologized respectfully to Gu Yuena, she affirmed that she would not change her allegiance. Bi Ji later confirmed that Di Tian had helped fabricate her whereabouts during her prolonged absences, preserving her Spirit Pagoda cover. 112 114
Leng Yaozhu subsequently suggested that Qingyu Douluo guide Tang Wulin's healing cultivation. By the time Yun Feng was preparing for her journey to the Star Luo Empire, Bi Ji was serving as Tang Wulin's teacher and used cultivation guidance as a reason to visit the War God Hall. One such visit brought her into another politely antagonistic exchange with Ya Li. 115 131 132
During this period, Yun Feng forged Three-Word Battle Armor for Bi Ji and Snow Whisper. After its completion, Bi Ji offered to escort Snow Whisper back to the Far North, but Yun Feng assigned Zi Ji instead. Yun Feng explained that Bi Ji needed to remain publicly visible as Tang Wulin's teacher, since another prolonged disappearance could arouse suspicion in the War God Hall and Spirit Pagoda. Bi Ji then returned to the War God Hall with Yun Feng. 131 132
Appearance
Bi Ji is a soft-featured, gentle-looking woman with emerald-green hair and a dense life aura. Her appearance initially invites comparison to Ya Li, though their temperaments and beauty are distinctly different. 37
- Emerald-green hair. 37
- Gentle, soft appearance and demeanor. 37
- Possesses a powerful life aura. 37
- As the Emerald Swan, she has six hundred thousand years of cultivation. 60
- Her true form is an elegant Emerald Swan with holy wings; white feathers drift around her when she transforms. 87
- Her translucent emerald Two-Word Battle Armor bears faint golden dragon-scale patterns left by Yun Feng's Gold Dragon King power. 87 88
- Her later Three-Word Battle Armor displays multicolored radiance flowing with golden light. 132
Personality
Bi Ji is dutiful, composed, and highly deferential toward those she recognizes as her lords. Initially, Di Tian's order requires her to remain neutral between Yun Feng and the Silver Dragon King, and she plainly states the limits of her allegiance rather than concealing them. 37
Her time with Yun Feng gradually shifts that neutrality. Bi Ji is moved by Yun Feng's apparent concern for the future of Soul Beasts and comes to favor her over the Silver Dragon King in her heart. 60
Though gentle by nature, Bi Ji is practical and protective. She warns Yun Feng against trusting humans too readily, helps conceal her from pursuers, and readily uses force to restrain hostile evil Soul Masters. 55
Bi Ji's gentleness is largely reserved for Yun Feng. She reacts harshly toward those who threaten or pursue Yun Feng, approves of Na Nali's punishment for attempting to control Yun Feng, and remains openly distrustful of Na Nali despite accepting Yun Feng's decision to keep her useful. 81 85 88
Her loyalty ultimately becomes absolute and public. Faced with Gu Yuena's direct demand for allegiance, Bi Ji respectfully but firmly declares that she has chosen Yun Feng and will not return to the Silver Dragon King's side. 112
Bi Ji distinguishes the Soul Beasts' interests from humanity's expectations of Yun Feng. Although she regards the Abyss as a threat that must be eliminated, she does not interpret Yun Feng's opposition to it as a commitment to become humanity's savior. 40 49
She is not inclined to boast about rewards or achievements. When Bear Lord asks why she never mentioned her Battle Armor, she is described as someone who would not casually advertise possessing something valuable. 113
Her rivalry with Ya Li is expressed through restrained courtesy and pointed remarks rather than open conflict. When Ya Li appears not to remember her title, Bi Ji lightly challenges her forgetfulness but does not become genuinely angry, unlike how another human might react. 131
Bi Ji's attachment to Yun Feng develops beyond duty and reverence. She admits that her affection is directed not merely toward Yun Feng's body but toward Yun Feng herself, and she is comfortable lightly teasing Ya Li about her eagerness to travel with Yun Feng. 132
Abilities & Skills
Life Halo
Bi Ji's public Martial Soul is the Life Halo, a healing-type Martial Soul that produces dense life energy. 37
- Manifests as an emerald-green ring of light resembling an angel's halo above her hand. 37
- Heals and replenishes life force through emerald life energy. 37 57
- Extended the Titan Snow Demon King's life by approximately a century at Yun Feng's command. 58
- Her healing cannot permanently stop an ongoing loss of life force caused by grave tribulation injuries. 58
- The expenditure needed for major life-extension treatment can visibly exhaust her. 58
- Restored Zhenhua after he endured the heavenly tribulation produced by Heavenly Forging. 77
- Can treat severe injuries among Yun Feng's allies, including those Yun Feng accepts into her service. 86
- Her unrestricted release of life force causes nearby vegetation to grow rapidly. 81
- Gu Yuena regards the purity of Bi Ji's life aura as approximately comparable to Ya Li's, though far below the divine life aura revealed within Tang Wulin. 117
Life Force Support
Bi Ji can channel a large amount of her life energy directly into Yun Feng. 81
- Poured life energy into Yun Feng at full force during the Holy Spirit Cult and Abyss ambush. 81
- Her life-energy support enabled Yun Feng to transform into an adult Limit Douluo form for the ensuing battle. 81
- Yun Feng credits Bi Ji's transferred life force with helping her withstand the Dark Blood Demon's powerful physical strike. 82
Ferocious Beast Aura
As the Emerald Swan, Bi Ji can release the pressure of a six-hundred-thousand-year Ferocious Beast. 60
- Her aura was strong enough to press down on the sea and slow drifting ice. 60
- She can sense Yun Feng's aura over distance, allowing her to locate Yun Feng when conventional information is insufficient. 55
- Her actual Rank 98 aura approaches that of a Limit Douluo despite her public Rank 95 identity. 81
Soul Power Suppression
Bi Ji can use overwhelming Soul Power against opponents who threaten Yun Feng. 55
- Slammed a group of evil Soul Masters into the ground and immobilized them before they could escape. 55
- Avoids unnecessary killing when possible, leaving Yun Feng to decide the enemies' fate. 55
- Shielded Yun Feng and Snow Whisper from the force of the Dark Blood Demon and his allies during their ambush. 81
- Despite her Rank 98 strength, the Dark Blood Demon overpowered her initial defense and later restrained her when she attempted to assist Yun Feng. 81 82
Flight and Transport
Bi Ji can fly while carrying companions. 60
- Transported Yun Feng and Snow Whisper from the Far North to the coast. 60
- Also drives a Soul Guidance Car while traveling with Yun Feng and Snow Whisper. 63
- Continued offering to carry Yun Feng after the Devil Island vigil, though Yun Feng had by then gained independent flight. 95
Battle Armor
Bi Ji possesses a custom set of Two-Word Battle Armor forged by Yun Feng and named Jade. 87 88
- The armor was specifically redesigned to accommodate both her human body and her Emerald Swan true form. 87
- Raises her overall strength by roughly half. 87
- Contains faint golden dragon-scale patterns infused with Yun Feng's Gold Dragon King power, which Bi Ji regards as an honor and blessing. 87
- Demonstrated the armor to Bear Lord and the other Ferocious Beasts as proof that Soul Beasts can use Battle Armor. 112 113
- Later received Three-Word Battle Armor forged by Yun Feng before the journey to the Star Luo Empire. 131 132
- Yun Feng has promised eventually to provide her and the other members of the group with Four-Word Battle Armor; this remains a promised future reward rather than a confirmed acquisition. 78 88
Reconnaissance and Concealment
Bi Ji acts as Yun Feng's scout and operates under a convincing Spirit Pagoda identity. 37 63
- Investigated the Icefire Yin Yang Well and the Tang Sect's checkpoint around Sunset Forest without exposing herself. 63 64
- Collected information on the Silver Dragon King's recovery and activities within the Spirit Pagoda. 62
- Helped Yun Feng hide from approaching pursuers after the confrontation with evil Soul Masters. 55
- Maintained her Spirit Pagoda cover through a fabricated whereabouts arranged with Di Tian, ensuring that the organization did not become suspicious of her long absences. 114
- Guarded the area around Devil Island alongside Snow Whisper while Yun Feng absorbed Destructive Power within the island. 93 94
- Possesses extensive knowledge of human history and contemporary affairs gathered during the Ferocious Beasts' nearly century-long preparations to infiltrate human society. 60
- Reported Yun Feng's activities after leaving Bright Capital to Di Tian, contributing to his growing confidence in Yun Feng's concern for the Soul Beast race. 64
- Uses her public role as Tang Wulin's cultivation teacher to visit the War God Hall, while keeping her movements sufficiently visible to avoid suspicion. 131 132
Healing Cultivation Guidance
Under her identity as Qingyu Douluo, Bi Ji becomes Tang Wulin's healing-cultivation teacher. Leng Yaozhu recommends her as a suitable mentor because of her specialization. 115 131 132
- Guides Tang Wulin's cultivation through visits to the War God Hall. 131
- Recognizes his exceptionally abundant life force and predicts that his future healing abilities may surpass even Holy Spirit Douluo Ya Li's. 132
- Her teaching position becomes an important part of her public identity, limiting how long she can disappear without drawing attention. 132
Relationships
- Yun Feng — Her acknowledged lord and master. Bi Ji becomes Yun Feng's caretaker, protector, confidante, and traveling companion; over time, she comes to favor Yun Feng over the Silver Dragon King and ultimately declares her allegiance to Yun Feng publicly. Yun Feng rewards her service with immortal herbs and successive sets of Battle Armor. Bi Ji later explicitly acknowledges personal affection for Yun Feng herself, beyond attachment to her body or status. 37 38 60 67 112 131 132
- Silver Dragon King / Gu Yuena — Bi Ji's former primary lord. She was initially obligated to answer the Silver Dragon King's summons, though she was forbidden by Di Tian from proactively revealing Yun Feng's existence. Bi Ji later respectfully refuses Gu Yuena's demand that she return, confirming that she has chosen Yun Feng. 35 37 112
- Di Tian — The Beast God who dispatched Bi Ji to Yun Feng and ordered the Ferocious Beasts to remain neutral until Yun Feng and the Silver Dragon King determine a victor. He later assists Bi Ji in maintaining her fabricated Spirit Pagoda cover. Bi Ji also reports Yun Feng's activities to him and communicates with him during the Devil Island vigil. 34 35 64 94 114
- Ya Li — A fellow life-attribute caretaker of Yun Feng. Their first meeting at the War God Hall is outwardly polite but marked by tension over their competing places beside Yun Feng. During the Devil Island vigil, she refuses to explain the Soul Beasts' divided sovereignty and explicitly reminds Na Nali that her usefulness is the reason for Bi Ji's restraint. 85 87 88 94
- Bear Lord, Myriad Demon King, and Zi Ji — Fellow Ferocious Beasts who witness Bi Ji's Battle Armor and later shift toward Yun Feng's faction. Bi Ji helps welcome Zi Ji after she joins Yun Feng. 112 113
