Upgraded Summoning, Holy Light Elementals?

After taking the scroll, Rod smiled at Jaina, then chose to equip the magic scroll and spent 25 mana to Summon Fire Elemental.

In Heroes of Might and Magic III, if a hero had not used up all their movement for the day, they could hand the magic scroll to another hero for continued use. So even though Jaina had summoned Fire Elementals, he could use it as well.

They were about to deal with Zakaz, the Faceless One general. Although he had already weakened to the extreme, they still had to be fully prepared. It was never wrong to prepare more cannon fodder troops—the more, the better.

Besides, his mana had now reached 60 points. With Arcane Intellect, Blessing of Wisdom, and the paladin skill Meditation, recovering mana would not be a problem.

Trading 25 mana for six Fire Elementals was definitely worth it!

"Lord Rod, you summoned these Fire Elemental creatures too?" one of Tyr's Guard walked over and asked.

"Of course. This is the power of this wondrous magical item. As long as you hold it, you can cast spells." Rod smiled.

The Fire Elementals he had summoned were exactly the same as Jaina's—three-meter-tall humanoid beings of living flame.

"What an incredible magical item. It's simply miraculous! As expected of a powerful magical creation of the Titans." The surrounding Lordaeron soldiers, paladins, and Tyr's Guard all looked on in admiration.

"It doesn't only work for me! Lord Uther, why don't you try this magic scroll too? See if you can summon Fire Elemental creatures to aid us in battle!" Rod said as he handed the magic scroll to Uther once again.

Though paladins were melee fighters, they also had mana bars. Rod wanted to see whether Uther could use it.

"Rod, you don't mean you want me to summon Fire Elementals too?" Uther looked at Rod in surprise.

I'm a paladin, not a mage!

"Lord Uther, don't underestimate the magical creations of the Titan Keepers. Just give it a try. Paladins have mana too, and the other paladins can try as well," Rod said.

"Theoretically, it should work, but I'm not sure whether Lord Uther has enough mana to summon Fire Elementals," Jaina said.

Paladins did wield Holy Light spells, but were those spells really powered by mana? Was it truly the same as a mage's mana?

Still, the female mage also wanted to see what powers this wondrous magic scroll truly possessed.

"Then I'll give it a try!"

Uther nodded and accepted the magic scroll. Just like Jaina before him, the moment he received this wondrous scroll and equipped it, Uther immediately sensed a mysterious spell appear in his mind: Summon Fire Elemental.

Uther raised the magic scroll high and cast the spell. As he drew upon his mana, powerful Holy Light Elemental energy was also drawn into the magic scroll.

A paladin's true source was still the power of the Holy Light. Uther felt his Holy Light power being siphoned away, and golden Holy Light energy seemed to replace mana as it began condensing bodies for these magical elemental creatures.

This time, special effects appeared. A dazzling burst of golden light lit up Tyr's Tomb, unlike the Fire Elementals Rod and Jaina had summoned earlier.

These Holy Light Elementals had flowing golden hair and graceful female forms, their figures nearly perfect. They were energy-based lifeforms whose faces could not be seen clearly, but the curves of their bodies made their feminine appearance unmistakable.

The moment these four powerful Holy Light creatures appeared, everyone present was stunned.

"Great Holy Light, what... what are these?"

"What beautiful and sacred creatures!"

"Praise the Holy Light! I can feel the immense power of the Holy Light contained within these elementals." The paladins present all looked on in admiration.

Rod's expression was equally stunned. He had only wanted Uther to see if he could summon some Fire Elementals to make up the numbers, so what the hell was this?

And why did these beings flowing with Holy Light Elemental energy have female appearances? What was that old fellow Uther thinking about?

Rod narrowed his eyes and looked at Uther with a mischievous grin. As if sensing Rod's gaze, Uther coughed twice. By the great Holy Light, he had no idea why female Holy Light creatures had appeared either.

After these Holy Light Elementals appeared, Rod's system also changed.

Magic upgrade detected. The next time you summon Fire Elemental creatures, you may infuse Holy Light energy to summon powerful Holy Light Spirits.

They possess 45 health, 11 speed, can fly across the battlefield, 11 attack, 10 defense, and deal 8 to 10 damage.

They can cast sacred spells such as Flash of Light and Holy Light. They are immune to mind magic, but take double damage from shadow spells and are no longer immune to fire magic.

Rod was overjoyed. He had only wanted Uther to summon a few Fire Elementals to bolster their numbers, but Uther had unexpectedly summoned an entirely new unit.

Powerful Holy Light Elementals were far more useful than Fire Elementals, and their health even surpassed that of the tankiest Earth Elementals.

Even more valuable was that they had two spells and could fly across the battlefield. They were far stronger than Fire Elementals!

If he obtained an Elemental Conflux in the future, could he upgrade Fire Elementals? Or perhaps other elementals could be upgraded too?

For example, if he gave this magic scroll to Illidan and had him try using fel magic, would he summon Fel Elementals?

That had potential!

Still, it was a bit of a pity that, like the previous Fire Elementals, these Holy Light Elementals were summons and could only exist for 24 hours.
