Sixteen fire elementals simultaneously spewed scorching flames! Blazing fire erupted from the ground, temporarily blocking the Faceless Ones' minions and shadowy tentacles surging in from the sides, burning them until they sizzled and filled the air with a charred stench.

The four Holy Light Elementals transformed into four brilliant golden streaks and charged at the Faceless Ones' general! Holy Light erupted from their bodies like tangible flames. The shadowy tentacles burst into fierce flames and disintegrated the instant they touched the golden light!

The Faceless One's body was pierced through by their golden spears of light. It let out a shrill scream as its body rapidly carbonized and crumbled beneath the Holy Light!

The power of Holy Light had always been the bane of shadow creatures.

Meanwhile, Uther swung his warhammer, Holy Light blazing across his entire body like a golden-armored god of war. The Silver Hand Warhammer in his hand radiated a pure white glow.

"Insignificant insects, you dare disturb my slumber? You dare attack me?" What came from the Faceless One's mouth was neither human speech nor the common tongue, but a spiritual ripple. Those present could not understand its words, yet they could grasp its meaning. Such was the terror of the Old Gods.

"You disgusting monster, today is your day of death! Accept the judgment of the Holy Light!" Uther roared.

"Servants of the Holy Light, I will kill you all and devour your souls!" Zakaz roared, swinging his thickest tentacle at Uther.

But several fire elementals immediately surrounded it, blocking the Faceless One's attack, while the Holy Light Elementals launched strikes of Holy Light as well.

Seizing the opportunity, Uther raised his warhammer high and smashed it viciously into his opponent. The powerful force of Holy Light caused the massive Faceless One to stiffen briefly.

"Take this, monster—Magic Arrow!" Rod caught the instant of stiffness after the tentacle's attack and unleashed his strongest single-target attack without hesitation!

Strike while it was down! A bolt of blue lightning tore through the darkness, carrying destructive energy as it struck precisely at the armored joint at the base of one tentacle!

Boom—!!!

Blinding blue light erupted alongside a deafening explosion! Under the terrifying power of Magic Arrow, the armor and flesh at the joint of that thick tentacle were instantly blasted to pieces!

Viscous purple-black blood and chunks of flesh sprayed out like a fountain! The tentacle released a soul-piercing shriek that shook the heavens—though it made no sound, everyone felt that agonizing pain on a spiritual level.

Rod did not dare let his guard down in the slightest. He immediately cast Divine Shield and Arcane Shield on himself. A layer of golden light and a layer of blue magical shielding instantly enveloped him.

The surrounding Silver Hand paladins and Tyr's Guard also cast Divine Shield in succession, protecting themselves and the mortal soldiers.

Standing above the crater, the female mage continuously unleashed frost spells—Blizzard, Ice Lance, Frostbolt, Ice Lance, and Arcane Missiles—attacking the Faceless One below.

But compared with the power of Holy Light, arcane magic was extremely limited in its effectiveness against shadow creatures. This left the female mage somewhat frustrated. Maybe I should conserve some mana and summon a few more fire elementals later. That would be more useful.

The elemental creatures below had relieved Uther of tremendous pressure and caused the Faceless One plenty of trouble. Although several fire elementals had already been killed, it did not matter how many of these cannon fodder creatures died.

Seeing this, Rod handed the magic scroll to Jaina, signaling for the female mage to summon fire elementals again at a critical moment.

"Don't panic, everyone! Everyone who can use Holy Light, cast Flash of Light on this creature and attack it together!" Rod stepped to the front and cast a Holy Light upon Zakaz.

Come on, dear! Accept the healing of Holy Light!

A healing spell like this would make ordinary people feel comfortable, but when cast upon a shadow creature, the sensation was simply indescribably painful.

The other paladins followed suit, immediately casting Holy Light spells and hurling them at the Faceless One below. Some paladins even used Hammer of Justice.

Rod calmly cast Shield of Protection and Stone Skin on Uther once again.

With the support from above, Uther fought ever more fiercely, swinging his warhammer and driving the Faceless One back step by step.

Damn it! These filthy little creatures had actually attacked while I was weakened, and they were even using the Holy Light—the power that countered me most!

And the negative magic cast by that fellow above was actually affecting me? What kind of joke was this? I am the expert at using negative magic!

After another fierce battle, the elemental creatures below were almost completely slaughtered by the Faceless One. Even all four Holy Light Elementals had been killed.

Even though it had only just revived and was in a weakened state while burdened by two weakening spells, the Faceless Ones' general still displayed terrifying strength.

However, the Faceless Ones' general was not doing much better by then. More than half its body had been scorched by the power of Holy Light, and the shadow power around it had grown incomparably dim. It was now weakened to the extreme.

In contrast, Uther was basically uninjured. All the damage had been borne by the elemental creatures.

Seeing this from above the pit, Rod nodded at the female mage. Jaina immediately convened and used her remaining mana to summon another ten fire elementals.

Zakaz, having just wiped out the elemental fodder, fell silent for a moment before glaring furiously toward the top of the crater.

Damn it, had even the fire elemental planes betrayed the great Old Gods? Ragnaros actually dared send fire elementals to deal with me. A wonderful misunderstanding was born.

After Jaina finished summoning, Rod took back the magic scroll and used the last of his mana to summon the power of Holy Light. Imitating Uther, he summoned three Holy Light Elementals with beautiful female appearances.

Unlike fire elementals, Rod could only summon three Holy Light Elementals at a time.

"Lord Rod, perhaps we can try summoning Holy Light Elementals as well," said a Silver Hand paladin.

Rod's eyes lit up. Of course! These paladins could give it a try too. He nodded and immediately handed over the magic scroll.

But unfortunately, among all the paladins present, including Tyr's Guard, only two people successfully summoned Holy Light Elementals, and each of them could only summon one.

The others received the scroll but got no response at all. Clearly, they did not have enough mana—twenty-five points—or perhaps their Holy Light was insufficient.

Still, it was enough. With this new batch of elemental creatures joining the battle, especially the five Holy Light Elementals, the outcome had been completely decided.

The Faceless One Zakaz let out a despairing roar. After killing several more elemental creatures, the Faceless One finally collapsed.

Zakaz wore an unwilling expression as Uther approached it, raising his warhammer to deliver the final blow.

"Wait! Lord Uther, the Guardian wants me to finish him personally," Rod said from above the crater.

Don't steal my kill, old man. Let me do it!
