Powerful Gold Golems, Monsters Nearly Immune to Magic

Players had calculated that the weekly random troops had a 55% chance of producing high-tier units. That was incredibly useful.

What was even more valuable was that the refugee camp had no troops guarding it. Filled with excitement, Rod immediately ordered Skeletor toward the refugee camp.

You have visited a refugee camp. There are three Gold Golems inside. Recruit them?

Rod chose to recruit them without hesitation. One Gold Golem cost 500 gold coins, so three cost 1,500.

The Gold Golems' stats were: Attack 11, Defense 12, Damage 8–10, Health 50, Speed 5.

Those stats were already quite good. Their only weakness was their slow speed, but at least they were stronger than some garbage Tier 5 unit from the Elemental Conflux.

More importantly, they had 85% magic damage immunity! Magic damage immunity was the Gold Golems' strongest passive ability.

When these things appeared on the battlefield, you could only fight them in melee. Using magic against them was nothing more than scratching an itch!

And their melee abilities were terrifying. They could teach you a lesson with their iron fists in minutes.

Their lower-tier unit, the Iron Golem, even bore the title Snow Mountain Boxing Champion. Among Tier 3 units, it was one of the toughest fighters and hardest to kill.

Their cost-effectiveness was maxed out, and most importantly, Gold Golems were different from undead troops!

Rod could summon them, and he could perfectly explain where they came from. Look! These are the powerful magical creations bestowed upon me by the great Guardian!

It was simply perfect!

After Skeletor returned to the city, Rod directly transferred the three Gold Golems into his army through the system town.

After checking his gains, Rod withdrew his mind from the system town.

"It seems you gained quite a lot this time, Rod. Could it be that the Titan Keepers gave you another reward?" Uther walked over and asked.

The others, including the female mage Jaina, also gathered around with curious expressions. That magic scroll Rod had taken out before had been incredibly powerful!

And judging from the situation, Rod had received another reward from the Titan Keepers this time.

"Hahaha! Lord Uther, Jaina, everyone, you guessed right. The great Titan Keepers have rewarded me once again. This time, they gave me three powerful bodyguards," Rod said proudly.

Claiming that a mysterious Titan was protecting him from the shadows and giving himself the identity of a Titan Keepers' envoy felt unbelievably good!

"Bodyguards? What kind of bodyguards? Lord Rod, could you let us see them?"

"Yes, Lord Rod! Let us witness the great Titan creations!"

"Please, Rod, hurry up! Let us see your powerful guardians!" Even the female mage Jaina looked impatient.

Even Uther was somewhat eager to see what kind of magical creations Rod would produce. These had been personally bestowed by the Titan Keepers.

Rod smiled and did not keep them in suspense. He directly summoned the Gold Golems from his troop slots.

After a burst of golden light, three towering metal giants appeared before everyone.

Their entire bodies were covered in golden muscles, while their heads bore ornaments resembling those of ancient Egyptian pharaohs. Their skin gleamed with a metallic luster.

They stood around five meters tall, immensely imposing and brimming with pressure. The paladins, the female mage Jaina, and Tyr's Guard could only look up at them.

The Tyr's Guard present revealed shocked expressions. According to their ancient records, even the tall Vrykul were only around three meters tall, at most three and a half meters.

But five meters tall? Those were absolutely top-tier Titan creations. It was said that some Titan Keepers were only seven or eight meters tall, while others were around a dozen meters.

"Are these the legendary Titan creations? They really are metal lifeforms. They are completely different from the magical constructs appearing in Azeroth today." The female mage excitedly stepped forward and touched a Gold Golem's body.

It felt like cold metal beneath her hand. Their entire bodies were streamlined, with no trace of artificial craftsmanship whatsoever.

Uther was also full of amazement. He had just activated his Holy Light perception to its fullest, yet he had not detected anything unusual about Rod at all. This powerful Titan Keeper was truly unfathomable!

It had followed them without anyone noticing, remotely or even from nearby, observing all their actions and then rewarding Rod.

And gold was more favored by humans and other races. These three Gold Golems were perfect in appearance, strength, and sheer coolness.

Under Rod's control, the three huge Gold Golems moved their bodies at the same time and turned their heads toward the crowd. The gesture frightened everyone into taking a collective step back.

"Rod, how strong are they in combat?" the female mage asked.

"As for their combat strength, why not test them?" Rod said.

The Gold Golems' defense was as high as 12. Ordinary swords and other cold weapons could not harm their bodies at all and could not reduce their health.

And even if they did lose health, the Heal spell Rod had just learned could treat these metal lifeforms.

Rod wanted to test just how much Azeroth's magic the Gold Golems could resist.

"You mean you want me to attack these Titan Keeper creations with magic?" the female mage asked.

"That's right! When the Titan Keepers gave them to me, they told me some of their functions. They possess extremely high magic resistance. You can try using magic on them." Rod nodded.

"Then I'll give it a try!" The female mage eagerly took her stance and began casting. A Frostbolt shot forward.

The Frostbolt struck the Gold Golem's body, then dissipated. It did not even scratch its surface, and there was not even a damage indicator.

After seeing that the Frostbolt was useless, the female mage used Ice Lance, Arcane Missiles, Ice Lance, Frost Nova, Blizzard, and even Arcane Missiles.

But without exception, those spells were completely ineffective. They did not even leave a scratch on the Gold Golem before her.

"How is this possible? My magic is completely ineffective." The female mage looked shocked.

"Hahaha, Gold Golems are anti-magic units by nature. They have enormous resistance to spells and can negate more than eighty percent of your magic. If you want to destroy them, you can only engage them in close combat," Rod said.

It seemed that against some low-level spells, Gold Golems could practically achieve complete magic immunity! After all, spells capable of breaking through 12 Defense were not low-level spells.

How many races in Azeroth could do that? The legendary Tauren, Ogres, or perhaps Orcs?

"Truly remarkable, Rod. It seems that Titan Keeper values you greatly. These three Gold Golems are no ordinary creations," Uther said.
