Background

The Witch Clan originates from Pangu's legacy. The Twelve Ancestral Witches were formed from Pangu's essence blood and gestated beneath Mount Buzhou, where they absorbed immense quantities of Killing Intent. Their physical bodies and combat strength are exceptional, but this same Killing Intent originally suppressed their primordial spirits, preventing most of them from comprehending the Heavenly Dao through conventional cultivation. 1 10 11

Pangu Hall serves as the clan's sanctuary and contains the Pangu Blood Pool, a foundation left by Pangu. The pool can produce Great Witches and ordinary Witch Clan members when supplied with the Ancestral Witches' essence blood; strengthening the pool improves the potential of future clansmen. 14

Houtu discovered the gestating Pan Xuan near Mount Buzhou and brought him to Pangu Hall. After the Twelve Ancestral Witches verified that he had been born from Pangu's righteous aura, they accepted him as their younger brother. They taught him the Dao, gave him their essence blood to help him form a Dao body, and later entrusted him with the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler. 1 3 6 8 13

Pan Xuan's Heavenly Enlightenment Wisdom Light changed the clan's prospects when it enabled Houtu to develop a primordial spirit—the first known instance within the Witch Clan. The Ancestral Witches then considered using the ability on ordinary witches, whose lower exposure to Killing Intent may leave their souls less suppressed. 10 12

Pangu's remaining consciousness describes the Witch Clan as the children born of his blood essence, inheritors of his bodily strength who are powerful yet vulnerable because of their spiritual limitations. He entrusts their future to Pan Xuan, recognizing him and the clan as sharing the same origin despite Pan Xuan's unusual nature. 28

Although the Ancestral Witches and their clanspeople already existed, the Witch Clan did not formally proclaim its establishment to heaven and earth until its oath at Mount Buzhou. That declaration transformed it from an existing bloodline community into a publicly established power committed to guarding the Primordial World and completing the Heavenly Dao. 49

Its later mission is explicitly defined as purifying the Primordial World: ordering mountains, rivers, and earth veins, harmonizing spiritual qi, suppressing evil spirits and demonic filth, and preserving the world's order. This duty replaces mere competition for supremacy as the clan's guiding purpose. 161

Appearance

The Witch Clan has no single appearance. Its ruling Twelve Ancestral Witches possess distinct god-demon true forms, while their innate Dao bodies resemble powerful humanoid men and women. Their true forms radiate enough force to distort space, freeze their surroundings, or shake Pangu Hall. 1 6 7

Ancestral Witch Law / Affinity True-form features
Di Jiang Space and speed A formless, faceless crimson-yellow sack with six feet and four wings.
Zhu Jiuyin Time A crimson, thousand-mile snake-bodied god-demon with a human face.
Zhu Rong Fire Beast head, human body, crimson scales, fire snakes through his ears, and fire dragons beneath his feet.
Gong Gong Water Python head, human body, black scales, black dragons beneath his feet, and green pythons around his hands.
Xuan Ming Rain and ice A hideous giant beast with backward-growing bone spurs and an intensely chilling aura.
Jumang Wood Emerald-green, with a bird's body, human face, and two dragons as mounts.
Rushou Metal Human face, tiger body, golden scales, shoulder wings, and two dragons as mounts.
Qiangliang Thunder Tiger head and human body, four hooves, and snakes held in his mouth and hands.
Xizi Lightning Human face, bird body, green snakes hanging from his ears, and red snakes in his hands.
Shebishi Poison Beast-like form surrounded by poisonous mist, with snakes held in his mouth and hands.
Tianwu Wind Eight human-faced heads, tiger body, ten tails, and howling winds.
Houtu Earth Human face, snake body, seven arms, and a soaring snake held before her chest. 1 7 8 19

Ordinary Witch Clan warriors are tall and powerfully built, with heavily developed muscles and abundant blood energy. Their assembled army is distinguished by overwhelming physical strength rather than the Demon Clan's splendor or the Asura army's ferocity. 328

Star Witches bear Star Seals between their brows and radiate the pure stellar aura of their corresponding stars. Attribute marks include flames, waterdrops, snowflakes, mountains, leaves, blades, thunder, lightning, poisonous miasma, and storms. Their complete primordial spirits circulate stellar power, visibly distinguishing them from ordinary witches during their public debut. 85 208

Personality

The clan places overwhelming importance on kinship and bloodline. Although the Ancestral Witches initially suspected Pan Xuan, they accepted him immediately after confirming his shared origin with Pangu and collectively committed to protecting and teaching him. 2 3 6

Among themselves, the Ancestral Witches are straightforward and prone to quarrels—especially Zhu Rong and Gong Gong—yet their loyalty is sincere. They unite quickly when a sibling is threatened or an important decision must be made. 2 6 7

The clan originally favors direct action and personal strength, but becomes more patient after accepting Pan Xuan's strategic counsel. Rather than immediately expanding through the Pangu Blood Pool, they adopt a concealed policy of accumulating Killing Intent and battlefield resources while avoiding notice from the three dominant clans. 14 15

Its reverence for Pangu is accompanied by a strong refusal to submit to outside authority. During the formal founding, the clan invokes the Great Dao and Heavenly Dao without appealing to Hong Jun. Di Jiang later states that the clan does not require other cultivators' approval for its actions, even after learning of widespread disdain in Zixiao Palace. 49 61

As the Divine Dao expands, the clan increasingly favors cooperation, shared duties, and the incorporation of potential rivals over unnecessary conquest. Its leaders accept arrangements allowing existing mountain rulers to hold authorized divine offices, negotiate with Minghe rather than seizing the Blood Sea, and pursue reconciliation with the Three Pure Ones. 89 94 137 147

The Ancestral Witches' trust in Pan Xuan becomes sufficiently deep that Di Jiang accepts the strategic significance of his unexplained choices without demanding every secret. The clan also demonstrates trust toward friends by allowing Jieyin and Zhunti to see its accumulated treasures and foundations without concealment. 102 116

Organization & Territory

Leadership and Tribes

The original Witch Clan is organized into twelve tribes corresponding to the Twelve Ancestral Witches and their laws. Great Witches form its regional fighting strength and administrative backbone, while ordinary clanspeople provide its broader population and armies. Pan Xuan serves as the clan's military strategist and later leads its thirteenth tribe. 15 85 103

  • Twelve Ancestral Witches — The clan's senior leaders and original supreme fighting force. Di Jiang coordinates major decisions and assignments. 15 49 233
  • Great Witches — Powerful clanspeople capable of guarding regions and assuming divine offices. Prominent members include Xing Tian, Hou Yi, Kuafu, Feng Bo, Rain Master, and Jiu Feng. 70 71 94 103
  • Ordinary witches — Blood Pool-born members whose bodies are naturally strong but whose early cultivation is limited by the absence of primordial spirits and insufficient cultivation resources. 81 89
  • Star Tribe — The thirteenth tribe, led by Pan Xuan with Sun, Taiyin, and Ziwei as commanders. Its members possess complete primordial spirits and cultivate through stellar power rather than ordinary witches' fiend-qi-based practices. 85 86 143

The Great Witch title does not indicate a single uniform cultivation realm. The overseas guardians are Daluo Golden Immortals, while the more than thirty Great Witches selected for the early Divine Dao expansion are at the Primordial Unity Golden Immortal realm or above. Xing Tian is later identified as the strongest fighter among the Great Witches. 70 103 268

Star Tribe

Pan Xuan creates the Star Witch Clan by combining Witch bloodlines with star origin, using the latter as soul cores and purifying the gestating lives to preserve their primordial spirits. They recognize him as their Father God and are formally incorporated as a separate tribe because their cultivation and management differ from those of ordinary witches. 82 83 85

Division / Group Leadership / Composition Function
Yang Division Sun, also called Taiyang Oversees the Sun Star and yang-attributed Star Witches.
Yin Division Taiyin Oversees the Taiyin Star and yin-attributed Star Witches.
Imperial Division Ziwei Oversees the Ziwei Emperor Star, commands the primary-star contingent, and coordinates the Yin and Yang Divisions.
Primary Star Witches A 365-member primary-star formation under the three commanders Correspond to the Zhoutian primary stars and wield the Zhoutian Star Dou array banners.
Secondary Star Witches 14,800 members Correspond to the Zhoutian secondary stars and cultivate through their natal stellar connections.

The Star Witch Clan numbers more than fifteen thousand at its creation. Sun, Taiyin, and Ziwei are born at the early Daluo Golden Immortal realm; the other primary-star members range from Golden Immortal to Primordial Unity Golden Immortal. Secondary-star members are mostly Heavenly Immortals or True Immortals, with a few Profound Immortals. 84 85

Abilities & Practices

Command of Fundamental Laws

Each Ancestral Witch commands a fundamental law of heaven and earth, including space, time, fire, water, ice, wood, metal, thunder, lightning, poison, wind, and earth. Their teachings can convey their understanding of these laws despite the clan's original lack of primordial spirits. 6 7 19

  • Their combined attacks could not initially break the ancient restriction at the Ferocious Beast Calamity site. 19
  • The Ancestral Witches' physical bodies are their principal cultivation foundation and combat strength. 10 12
  • Viewing Pangu's creation of heaven and earth through the World-Creation Diagram deepens their understanding of their innate laws and the Great Dao of Strength. 33
  • Joint deductions of the Zhoutian Star Dou Great Array further refine their laws and reveal new forms of cooperation, including a balance between fire and water and mutual support between ice and earth. 79
  • Their laws can construct layered defenses and stable transport channels, combining spatial and temporal stabilization with elemental protection, repair, sensing restrictions, and anti-intrusion measures. 71 143

Killing Intent Absorption

Killing Intent is poisonous to ordinary beings but acts as nourishment for the Witch Clan, tempering their bodies and strengthening their cultivation. 15 16

  • The clan absorbs residual Killing Intent from the battlefields of the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans. 16 18
  • Eleven Ancestral Witches gained a major breakthrough after absorbing the ancient, concentrated Killing Intent within the western abyss. 20
  • Houtu ceased absorbing Killing Intent after developing a primordial spirit, as further exposure would endanger her newly formed spiritual foundation. 19 20
  • Ordinary witches initially progress slowly by drawing on fiend qi from the Blood Pool and Pangu's aura within Pangu Hall. Access to Blood Sea resources provides a much larger cultivation supply. 89 142
  • Star Witches do not use these fiend-qi channels: the energy would contaminate their primordial spirits, while their proper cultivation relies on stellar power and the Star Refining Spirit Art. 143

Pangu Blood Pool

The Pangu Blood Pool is the Witch Clan's source of continued population growth and contains Pangu's bloodline power. 14

  • It can create Great Witches aligned with the Twelve Ancestral Witches' attributes, as well as ordinary clansmen. 14
  • Fallen bodies from the three rival clans can be cast into the pool as nutrients, strengthening it for future creation. 15
  • The Ancestral Witches postponed large-scale creation of new clansmen because such growth could expose the clan to hostile attention. 14 15
  • The pool is formed from Pangu's heart's blood and contains his pure life force. Later descriptions show faintly golden blood beneath interwoven Profound Yellow Qi and merit light. 82
  • It also serves as the gestation site for the Star Witch Clan, although star origin and purification are required to prevent its dense fiend qi from suppressing the new branch's souls. 81 83
  • Purified tainted blood from the Blood Sea replenishes the pool and supports the creation of additional clanspeople. 142

Primordial-Spirit Limitation

Most early Witch Clan members lack primordial spirits because their souls were suppressed by the Killing Intent absorbed during gestation. Without primordial spirits, they cannot normally comprehend the Heavenly Dao or progress through orthodox Dao cultivation. This limitation initially defines the clan, but is progressively compensated for and ultimately overcome. 10 12 53 301

  • Houtu is the first exception: her lesser absorption of Killing Intent left her soul more complete, allowing Pan Xuan's Heavenly Enlightenment Wisdom Light to awaken a primordial spirit within her. 10 11
  • The clan initially believes ordinary witches may have a greater chance than most Ancestral Witches of developing primordial spirits through Pan Xuan's assistance. 12
  • Law Deities, granted through the Great Dao's blessing, give the Ancestral Witches the ability to perceive laws and comprehend the Heavenly Dao despite lacking traditional primordial spirits. 53 100
  • Star Witches are born with complete primordial spirits because star origin forms their soul cores and the Creation Green Lotus's Light of Chaos removes suppressive fiend qi during gestation. 82 83
  • After reincarnation is established, Houtu urges the clan to use the resulting merit to address its primordial-spirit weakness rather than relying solely on physical strength and Law Deities. 218
  • By Houtu's Sagehood, the narrative confirms broader awakening of primordial spirits with Pan Xuan's help. The remaining eleven Ancestral Witches eventually unite spirit and flesh when attaining the Dao. 301 343

Martial Dao

Pan Xuan proposes the Martial Dao as a systematic cultivation path suited to the clan's powerful bodies, abundant vital blood, and steadfast wills. Instead of requiring a primordial spirit, it develops Martial Dao Will capable of communicating with heaven and earth, comprehending laws, and supporting breakthroughs. The Twelve Ancestral Witches agree to develop the path together. 33 35

Realm / Stage Purpose
Body Refining Tempers flesh, sinews, and bones and opens the Zhoutian acupoints so the body can bear heaven-and-earth power.
Qi Refining Cultivates blood and qi, absorbs spiritual and fiendish qi, and condenses qi force.
Will Refining Hones the will until it can influence reality and commune with laws; condenses a manifestation that provides a vessel for the will.
Dao Refining Merges one's own laws and Dao with the body and heaven and earth, advancing toward unity of body and Dao.

The system is governed by the Great Dao of Strength. Its development is aided by the Heavenly Enlightenment Wisdom Light and insights from the World-Creation Diagram. Unlike Hong Jun's Immortal Dao, its principles do not depend on Heavenly Dao approval, severing the three corpses, or Primordial Violet Qi. 34 173

Pan Xuan later shares the Martial Dao with the Three Pure Ones as a model for creating an independent primordial-spirit cultivation system. The Witch Clan's own four-realm path ultimately reaches completion, becoming a fully developed foundation for bodily Sagehood and unity of Dao and self. 173 297

Star Refining Spirit Art

Pan Xuan devises the Star Refining Spirit Art specifically for the Star Witch Clan and transmits it to Sun, Taiyin, and Ziwei to teach their clanspeople. It uses natal stars as the foundation, drawing stellar power to temper the body and strengthen the primordial spirit. It differs from both ordinary witches' Martial Dao and conventional primordial-spirit cultivation. 86

The Star Tribe trains continuously in coordinated array operation. Ziwei uses the imperial authority of the Ziwei Emperor Star to regulate the formation, correct mismatched timing and power, and maintain cooperation among its members. 88

Formations and Collective Power

  • Dutian Divine Fiends Grand Formation — The Twelve Ancestral Witches' strongest collective killing move and a principal clan trump card. It combines their natal laws to summon the Pangu Phantom; Houtu can link her primordial spirit to the manifestation. 30 49
  • Innate Four Symbols Grand Formation — Practiced by Houtu, Zhu Rong, Gong Gong, and Tianwu with four High-Grade Innate Spiritual Treasures, strengthening the clan's ability to confront other major powers. 58
  • Zhoutian Star Dou Great Array — Deduced by Pan Xuan and the Ancestral Witches, with 365 banners, Sun and Taiyin focal points, and a Ziwei Emperor Star core. The Star Tribe is created as its specialized operating force, and the array later envelops Mount Buzhou. 79 85 116
  • Circumference Heavenly Cycle Purification Grand Array — Built through cooperation with Minghe to process Blood Sea resources. The Creation Green Lotus's Light of Chaos draws in turbid fiend qi and tainted blood automatically after completion, without Minghe constantly supplying control. 142 143
  • Overseas wards — The Three Immortal Islands' defenses combine the Ancestral Witches' twelve laws with formations and Pan Xuan's powers, providing concealment, layered resistance, regeneration, and punishment of intruders. 71

Divine Dao and World Purification

The Witch Clan establishes the Divine Dao System under Pan Xuan as its Lord. Its hierarchy assigns divine offices and responsibilities for the natural world rather than requiring the clan to occupy every mountain or displace every existing ruler. Great Witches are suitable initial mountain gods, but other beings can also accept authorized offices and duties. 94 100

The system's stated purpose is to serve the Primordial World's many races rather than only the Witch Clan. Its expansion incorporates major powers such as Ancestral Dragon and Minghe, while purification, teaching, and reincarnation strengthen its reach and the world's order. 124 137 233

The Netherworld and Six Paths of Reincarnation complete a cycle extending from the governance of heaven and earth to the circulation of life and death. Their establishment also brings forth the Earthly Dao, distributing authority beyond Hong Jun's control of the Heavenly Dao. 218 221

Equipment / Items

  • Pangu Hall — The clan's ancestral sanctuary and a place protected by Pangu's residual power; it conceals the group from outside detection. 1 8 24
  • Pangu Blood Pool — The foundation used to create and strengthen Witch Clan members. 14 15
  • Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler — An Acquired Merit Supreme Treasure preserved in Pangu Hall and entrusted to Pan Xuan because of its resonance with his merit and Profound Yellow foundation. 13 14
  • Destruction Stele — Shen Ni's natal supreme treasure, recovered from the Ferocious Beast Calamity abyss. The clan brings it back to Pangu Hall and initially intends for Houtu to refine it after stabilizing her primordial spirit. It later accompanies her cultivation of reincarnation in the Blood Sea. 21 22 24 183
  • World-Creation Diagram — Used by Pan Xuan to show the Ancestral Witches Pangu's creation of heaven and earth, enriching their understanding of laws and the Great Dao of Strength. 33
  • Twenty-Four-Grade Creation Green Lotus — Anchors the Witch Clan's fortune, links it to heaven and earth, and provides Light of Chaos used in protection, Star Witch creation, and Blood Sea purification. 53 83 143
  • Five Innate Spiritual Roots — The Four Symbols Banana Tree, Innate Gourd Vine, Enlightenment Tea Tree, Yellow Middle Plum, and Five-Needle Pine become part of the clan's accumulated foundations beside the Blood Pool. 56 116
  • Treasure-Dropping Golden Coin — Part of the clan's expanded reserves; its treasure-dropping ability offers a counter to powerful enemies' spiritual treasures, though its effectiveness depends on the user's strength and it does not directly strike people. 63 71
  • Creation Cauldron — An innate treasure within the clan's reserves, later housed in Pangu Hall and resonating with the green lotus's Light of Chaos. 71 86
  • Zhoutian Star Dou Array Banners — A set of 365 banners distributed to the corresponding Star Witches, resonating with their Star Seals and natal stellar origins. 79 85
  • Star Divine Dao Seal — Pan Xuan's instrument for investing Divine Dao offices and recording their authorities, including Ancestral Dragon's Water God office and Minghe's God of the Blood Sea office. 124 137
  • Time Acceleration Secret Realm — Cultivation grounds used by the Twelve Tribes during the clan's peaceful development after the Three Pure Ones spread their independent teachings. 183
  • Great Witch armaments — Xing Tian wields Ganqi, while Hou Yi uses the Sun-Shooting Bow. Both remain prominent components of the clan's fighting strength. 70 268

Relationships

  • Pangu — Progenitor; the Twelve Ancestral Witches were born from his essence blood, while the clan's hall and blood pool remain part of his legacy. His remaining consciousness entrusts the clan to Pan Xuan, and his legacy defines its responsibility to purify and protect the Primordial World. 1 14 28 161
  • Pan Xuan — Adopted younger brother of the Twelve Ancestral Witches and the clan's strategist; his abilities create the possibility of primordial spirits within the clan and guide its concealed-growth policy. He later develops the Martial Dao, creates and leads the Star Tribe, establishes the Divine Dao System, and attains Sagehood. 3 12 15 33 85 100 301
  • Houtu — Ancestral Witch whose compassion leads her to find Pan Xuan; the first known Witch Clan member to develop a primordial spirit. Her reincarnation work helps establish the Earthly Dao, through which she becomes the clan's first Sage. 1 10 13 221 300 301
  • Dragon Clan, Phoenix Clan, and Qilin Clan — Initially dominant powers whose prolonged war provides the Witch Clan with Killing Intent and abandoned corpses. Their leaders tolerate the clan's discreet battlefield activity because the Ancestral Witches do not interfere in battles or take elite bodies. The Three Clans later enter the Divine Dao, and their armies join the expedition into Chaos alongside the Witch Clan. 15 17 141 169 328
  • Luo Hou — Indirect adversary; the clan's purification of the sealed western Killing Intent ruins his plan to temper the Four Swords of Immortal Slaying. 23 24
  • Jieyin and Zhunti — Friendly Western cultivators grateful for the Witch Clan's help repairing the Western Earth Veins. They repeatedly warn the clan about developments involving Hong Jun and are trusted with knowledge of its reserves. Pan Xuan later invites them to bring Mount Sumeru into the Divine Dao, although they initially hesitate because of Hong Jun. 60 61 116 117 185
  • Minghe and the Blood Sea — Negotiated partners rather than enemies. Minghe joins the Divine Dao as God of the Blood Sea, while the Witch Clan receives agreed access to turbid fiend qi and tainted blood through jointly approved collection and purification methods. Pan Xuan also promises support for the Netherworld and Six Paths of Reincarnation. 89 137 142 143
  • Three Pure Ones — Fellow descendants of Pangu, formed from his primordial spirit rather than his essence blood. Their original mutual hostility is exposed as having been intensified by Hong Jun's hidden influence. Reconciliation reunites Pangu's bodily and spiritual legacies, brings the Three Pure Ones into the Divine Dao, and leads to cooperation in teaching an independent cultivation system. 147 153 161 165 173
  • Hong Jun — Principal strategic adversary. He schemes to weaken the Witch Clan through competing powers and originally expects the Witch-Demon Tribulation to destroy its leadership. Pan Xuan instead identifies Hong Jun's control over the Heavenly Dao Core as the deeper threat and directs efforts toward purification, independent teaching, and breaking his hold over Primordial Violet Qi. 52 117 169 233
  • Di Jun, Taiyi, and the Demon Clan's Heavenly Court — Major rivals whose plans for heavenly government conflict with the Divine Dao's reach. Their rivalry includes military preparation and concern over the Star Witch Clan's stellar authority. Relations later develop beyond simple opposition: Pan Xuan privately urges Di Jun to investigate Hong Jun, and the Demon and Witch armies both assemble for the expedition into Chaos. 100 165 208 211 276 328

History

Recognition of Pan Xuan

The Twelve Ancestral Witches find Pan Xuan in Pangu Hall after Houtu brings him from a hidden place of gathering Profound Yellow Qi. They initially debate whether he is a treasure, a threat, or a possible relative. After examining his aura, they acknowledge him as a sibling born from Pangu's righteous vitality. 1 3

Transformation of the Clan's Prospects

The Ancestral Witches spend great epochs expounding their respective laws to Pan Xuan and each gives him a drop of essence blood. Their support allows him to refine the twelve source powers, take a Dao body, and reach a level at which he can employ his innate abilities. 6 9

After Houtu develops a primordial spirit through the Heavenly Enlightenment Wisdom Light, the clan recognizes that its defining spiritual limitation may not be absolute. The Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler is subsequently given to Pan Xuan as an additional foundation for the clan's future. 10 14

Concealed Expansion

When the Ancestral Witches consider using the Pangu Blood Pool to rapidly increase their population, Pan Xuan warns that open expansion would make the Witch Clan a target of the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans. The clan instead adopts his policy of secretly gathering battlefield corpses and Killing Intent until the three great clans exhaust one another. 14 15

For many years, the thirteen—Pan Xuan and the Twelve Ancestral Witches—travel the edges of the three clans' battlefields. They wait until combat ends, collect only abandoned ordinary corpses, absorb residual Killing Intent, and avoid direct conflict. 16 18

Ferocious Beast Calamity Abyss

In the western lands, Pan Xuan breaks an ancient restriction that the Twelve Ancestral Witches could not destroy. The group discovers an abyss containing ancient Killing Intent from the Ferocious Beast Calamity. Eleven Ancestral Witches absorb the Qi and break through, while Pan Xuan and Houtu remain protected from it. 19 20

The group also recovers the Destruction Stele from the abyss. Recognizing the danger of having disturbed an ancient seal, they retreat immediately to Pangu Hall, where they begin studying the stele and later decide to reduce their outward activity. 21 22 24 25

Development of the Martial Dao

After showing the Ancestral Witches the World-Creation Diagram, Pan Xuan proposes that the clan cultivate body, vital blood, and will through an independent Martial Dao. The Ancestral Witches recognize that the proposal systematizes their natural strengths while offering a way around their lack of primordial spirits. Together, they begin refining its four-realm framework in Pangu Hall. 33 35

Formal Founding and Great Dao Recognition

The Twelve Ancestral Witches activate the Dutian Divine Fiends Grand Formation and summon the Pangu Phantom. With her primordial spirit linked to the manifestation, Houtu proclaims the clan's oath to guard Mount Buzhou, purify the Primordial World, and help mend the Heavenly Dao. Heaven and earth respond, and the Heavenly Dao recognizes the declaration. 49

The founding also draws a Great Dao blessing that grants Law Deities, compensating for the Ancestral Witches' inability to use traditional primordial spirits. The Twenty-Four-Grade Creation Green Lotus anchors their fortune, and the clan begins accumulating spiritual roots, treasures, and additional formations until it no longer needs to rely solely on concealment for survival. 52 53 56 58 100

Overseas Expansion

Recognizing that Mount Buzhou alone is insufficient as a foundation, the clan seeks additional bases. Pan Xuan and the Ancestral Witches establish the Three Immortal Islands as overseas cultivation grounds, strengthen their wards, and oversee the construction of Penglai Hall, Fangzhang Hall, and Yingzhou Hall. 62 71

Xing Tian, Hou Yi, Kuafu, Feng Bo, and Rain Master receive responsibility for the islands alongside more than a hundred ordinary clanspeople. Pan Xuan leaves Xing Tian a Message Jade Talisman, while Houtu provides instructions concerning the islands' herbs and waters. 70 71

Creation of the Star Witch Clan

While deducing the Zhoutian Star Dou Great Array, Pan Xuan proposes combining leftover star origin with Ancestral Witch essence blood to create a specialized stellar branch. The Ancestral Witches approve the project and assist with the creation process. 79 82

The new lives gestate in the Blood Pool, but its fiend qi threatens to suppress their souls. The Creation Green Lotus's Light of Chaos purifies the cocoons, allowing powerful Witch bodies, stellar soul cores, and complete primordial spirits to develop together. Sun, Taiyin, and Ziwei emerge as Daluo Golden Immortal commanders, followed by the broader Star Witch population. 83 85

Pan Xuan incorporates them as the thirteenth tribe, distributes the array banners, and teaches the Star Refining Spirit Art through their commanders. The tribe establishes its camp on Mount Buzhou's southern foothills and begins sustained cultivation and formation drills. 85 86 88

Establishment and Expansion of the Divine Dao

Pan Xuan proposes a Divine Dao hierarchy that assigns responsibilities for mountains and the natural world while permitting existing rulers to participate voluntarily. Its establishment under him as Lord draws the Witch Clan's second Great Dao blessing and forces the powers listening in Zixiao Palace to reassess the clan's influence. 94 100

The clan begins assigning Great Witches to support expansion, including the incorporation of Shouyang Mountain. Ancestral Dragon later accepts the Water God office, and the Three Clans become part of the Divine Dao's wider coalition. 102 103 124 141

Jieyin and Zhunti warn that Hong Jun has empowered Di Jun and appointed the King Father of the East and West Queen Mother in ways that could unite outside forces against the system. Pan Xuan nevertheless maintains that the Divine Dao's legitimacy rests on responsibility toward the natural world, not aggression. 117

Blood Sea Cooperation and Resource Growth

Rather than fighting Minghe for the Blood Sea, Pan Xuan negotiates a covenant under which Minghe becomes God of the Blood Sea and retains autonomy over agreed collection and purification methods. This opens access to the resources needed to strengthen ordinary witches and expand the Blood Pool. 89 137

The Circumference Heavenly Cycle Purification Grand Array and protected transport channels then provide a sustained resource supply. The clan prioritizes cultivation and army-building over immediate war, while Houtu continues studying the Netherworld and reincarnation. 141 143 183

Reconciliation of Pangu's Descendants

Pan Xuan questions why two branches of Pangu's descendants instinctively reject one another and proposes approaching the Three Pure Ones rather than accepting permanent hostility. Their investigation reveals subtle marks planted by Hong Jun that amplify their aversion to the Witch Clan. They secretly travel to Mount Buzhou to discuss the discovery. 147 153

The reunion breaks their estrangement and clarifies complementary duties: the Witch Clan undertakes purification and the maintenance of worldly order, while the Three Pure Ones contribute teaching and cultivation insight. Their entry into the Divine Dao greatly strengthens its position and overturns Hong Jun's expected course for the Witch Clan. 161 165 169

Pan Xuan subsequently presents the Martial Dao as a model for the Three Pure Ones' independent cultivation system. Their cooperation enables the spread of teachings outside Hong Jun's Immortal Dao framework. 173 183

Pangu's Funeral and the Star Tribe's Public Debut

Pan Xuan announces Pangu's funeral, prompting powers across the Primordial World—including the rival Heavenly Court—to attend and prepare offerings. At the ceremony, the Star Tribe's primary-star contingent guides guests from the foot of Mount Buzhou toward Pangu Hall. 205 208

Its complete primordial spirits and pure star-origin auras shock the assembled cultivators. Di Jun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng recognize that the Witch Clan has developed a powerful stellar force and a complete Star Deity System beyond its publicly known bodily strength. Pan Xuan requires the guests to ascend the mountain on foot without flying, making noise, or using magical power. 208 211

Reincarnation and the Struggle over World Order

The establishment of the Netherworld and Six Paths of Reincarnation completes the Divine Dao's cycle of worldly order and life-and-death circulation. It also brings forth the Earthly Dao, dividing authority that Hong Jun had sought to monopolize through the Heavenly Dao. 218 221

When the leadership later reassesses Heavenly Court's rise, Pan Xuan identifies Hong Jun's infiltration of the Heavenly Dao Core as the true strategic danger. Di Jiang assigns the Three Pure Ones to teach and recruit, the Ancestral Witches to continue purifying the world, and Pan Xuan to approach Jieyin and Zhunti. 233

Despite continuing rivalry with Heavenly Court, Pan Xuan eventually receives Di Jun privately in Pangu Hall and urges him to examine Hong Jun's motives and the structure of Primordial Violet Qi. Di Jun begins questioning whether Hong Jun has deliberately preserved conflict and dependence among the world's powers. 276

Perfection of the Martial Dao and the First Sages

The Witch Clan's Martial Dao eventually reaches full fruition in all four realms. Its leaders celebrate a complete cultivation foundation in which body, qi, will, and Dao can develop toward unity without the former deficiencies. 297

Houtu then attains Sagehood through the Earthly Dao, becoming the first Sage in the clan's history. Her breakthrough is celebrated throughout the Witch Clan as the culmination of its struggle to overcome spiritual limitations. Soon afterward, Pan Xuan recognizes the Divine Dao as his own path and also attains Sagehood. 300 301

Expedition into Chaos

With the Primordial World's foundations secured, Pan Xuan initiates the expedition into Chaos. Eleven Ancestral Witches rally the Witch Clan's warriors, while Houtu remains behind to guard the Primordial World. The Dragon, Phoenix, Qilin, Witch, and Demon armies assemble for the campaign. 328

The Witch army answers Pan Xuan's call with overwhelming blood energy and bodily strength. Zhu Jiuyin identifies the campaign as an opportunity to refine the clan's fortune and gain merit, while the other Ancestral Witches eagerly prepare to confront the Gods of Chaos. 328

Sagehood of the Twelve Ancestral Witches

In the finale, the remaining eleven Ancestral Witches draw on their respective origin laws, unite spirit and flesh, and attain the Dao one after another. With Houtu already a Sage, all Twelve Ancestral Witches have reached Sagehood. The clanspeople celebrate the transformation from a vulnerable clan without primordial spirits or Sages into a supreme clan whose ancestral leaders have all attained the Dao. 343
