Bibi Dong was taken in by Spirit Hall at the age of six. She later fell in love with Yu Xiaogang, but they were forcibly separated. Her teacher imprisoned her in a secret chamber, an experience she identifies as the turning point that transformed her from an innocent girl into a ruthless figure within Spirit Hall. 1 48

She eventually killed the injured Qian Xunji and rose to become Pope, though she privately sought to destroy Spirit Hall. During her pursuit of a hundred-thousand-year soul ring, she killed Xiao Wu's mother, creating the basis for Xiao Wu's hatred and desire for revenge. 48 53

While in the underground chamber beneath her papal bedchamber, Bibi Dong received a bronze key and became one of the first members of the Secret Chamber Chat Group.
