Yang Xuan was originally an ordinary office worker. During his annual leave, he bought a red-skinned gourd at an antique market; after a car accident caused his blood to seep into its patterns, he awakened as the Primordial Gourd Vine on Mount Buzhou. His past-life memories returned when Hongjun merged with the Dao and the resulting power of creation stirred the Primordial World. 1

As a veteran reader of Primordial World stories, Yang Xuan understood the fate awaiting his new body: the seven gourds would be claimed by powerful beings, while the remaining vine would be refined into a treasure for Nuwa. Determined not to become a tool without a name, he accepted an invitation to the Heavens Chat Group under the deliberately vague nickname “Immortal.” 1

Lacking inherited cultivation knowledge, Yang Xuan collected techniques from group members and integrated their principles into the Primordial World’s Dao-focused cultivation system. This led to the creation of the Primordial Unity Creation Immortal Scripture and his first major breakthrough. 4 7

After returning to his true body as a late Golden Immortal, Yang Xuan awakened the Primordial Gourd Vine’s inherited legacy. He learned that its seven flowers embody the Seven Transformations of Creation, but their maturity will bring seven “masters of calamity” seeking to claim the gourds. Yang Xuan subsequently realized that his path could not be limited to Creation or the Five Elements alone. He is also highly reciprocal. He repays cultivation methods with innate spiritual energy, shares techniques he develops, and repeatedly aids group members without demanding immediate payment. Despite his pragmatism, Yang Xuan refuses to exploit worlds through outright destruction. After anchoring the Dou Qi Continent, he chooses to help it develop and take a share of its growth rather than drain its world laws entirely. 19
