Background / History
Harry was Peter Parker's longtime best friend and had previously dated Mary Jane. His relationship with Peter deteriorated after he became convinced that Spider-Man had murdered his father, Norman Osborn. Driven by revenge, he made an agreement with Doctor Otto Octavius to target Spider-Man. 21 22
Otto later abandoned their arrangement, assaulted Harry, and robbed his safe. Harry nonetheless continued preparing to confront Spider-Man, keeping a dagger ready for the encounter. 25
