Background and History

Fuxi and his sister Nuwa lived at Phoenix-Perching Mountain before visiting Wu Chu at Purple Jade Mountain. Fuxi initially distrusted Wu Chu’s interest in their origins and was quick to place himself between Wu Chu and Nuwa. He nevertheless stayed for years, refining Spirit Treasures for their host before the siblings departed 88 92 100 110.

Their relationship with Wu Chu grew into a sibling-like bond: Wu Chu called Fuxi his elder brother, sought his help with treasure refining, and endured Fuxi’s forceful idea of cultivation practice 343. Fuxi later became Western Heavenly Emperor. After he and Nuwa married, the Human Clan came to regard him as its Father God because Nuwa had created them 742 749.

Seeking further insight into the Dao of Deduction, Fuxi chose to reincarnate; Nuwa accompanied him, and Wu Chu agreed to guard them 898. As Xi, Fuxi proved the Dao on Mount Buzhou and became a Saint. He then joined the defense against invading extracosmic Saints 987 989 991.

Appearance

Fuxi appears as a handsome young man with a calm, steady bearing 88.

Personality

Fuxi is protective of Nuwa and initially suspicious of Wu Chu, particularly when Wu Chu probes the siblings’ origins or spends time near her 89 91 92. His impatience with Wu Chu’s questions coexists with courtesy: he returns Wu Chu’s apology rather than dismissing him for his weaker cultivation 91.

With Wu Chu, Fuxi becomes a teasing, sometimes exasperated elder brother. He supplies precious materials for Wu Chu’s treasures and repeatedly helps him, though he also retaliates when he realizes Wu Chu has maneuvered him into more work 100 343. His decision to reincarnate reflects his willingness to risk a new path for progress in deduction 898.

Fuxi’s zither playing can move listeners and affect their minds 93 991.

• His music causes the flowers of Purple Jade Mountain’s Flower Valley to dance 93.
• A performance calms Wu Chu until he falls asleep 93.
• After becoming a Saint, Fuxi uses his refined mind-influencing ability against an extracosmic Saint 991.

Deduction

Fuxi specializes in deducing fate, while acknowledging that changing circumstances can make a prediction inaccurate 103 810.

• Develops an initial form of the Eight Trigrams Deduction Method 810.
• Reincarnates specifically to gain new insight into the Way of Deduction 898.

Artifact Refining and Formations

• Refines Wu Chu’s mid-grade Beast-Binding Rope from an Azure Dragon tendon and Celestial Silkworm Silk 100.
• Crafts a Cosmos Storage Bag with protection against dust, fire, and water, as well as storage 111.
• Studies formation and restriction knowledge supplied by Wu Chu, then refines twenty-two Acquired Spirit Treasures for him: twelve mid-grade, nine upper-grade, and one supreme-grade 343 353.

• Wu Chu — a friend whom Fuxi comes to treat as a younger brother. He refines treasures for Wu Chu, trains him harshly, and receives Wu Chu’s support during reincarnation 100 343 898.
• Hao — Heavenly Emperor who informs the newly ascended Fuxi of the extracosmic Saints’ invasion 989.
