Background / History
Lei Qi is a transmigrator raised in the Thunder Clan. During the clan’s youth bloodline test, he distinguished himself with a seventh-grade high bloodline, drawing the attention of Clan Chief Lei Ying and the inner-realm elders. His unusual appearance—more refined than the typically burly Thunder Clan youths—did not diminish his standing, as he was already among the strongest of his generation. 1
Because of his and Lei Dong’s exceptional bloodlines, Lei Ying opened the Thunder Clan Ancestral Land for them. Lei Qi initially questioned the decision but accepted the opportunity, selecting the body-strengthening Thunder Seal Body Tempering Art and enduring the realm’s lightning tempering, dangerous puppets, and years of isolation. 2 3
Within the ancestral grounds, Lei Qi developed a cautious training approach: he remained on lower levels to consolidate his foundation, fought puppets for practical experience, and claimed a spear and multiple techniques from defeated opponents. After defeating a five-star Dou Emperor puppet, he absorbed the unstable Black Demon Lightning and was forced to leave early so Lei Ying could seal it. 4 5 6 7
After leaving the clan, Lei Qi traveled with Mang Tianchi, Yang Ji, and Zhang Yi. He attended the Medicine Clan’s celebration, learned second-tier pill refinement through observation, recruited Cao Ying as his personal maid and alchemy trainee, and pursued Heavenly Flames to stabilize and strengthen his dual lightning-and-fire cultivation. 8 9 13 16
Upon returning to the Thunder Clan, Lei Qi demonstrated that he had become a tier-six alchemist and convinced Lei Ying and Lei Jin to provide resources for the talented women under his care. He later absorbed the Green Lotus Core Flame, which helped balance the Black Demon Lightning and allowed him to exercise greater control over it. 38 42
Appearance
Lei Qi is a handsome, fair-skinned young man whose refined build contrasts sharply with the broad, muscular appearance common among Thunder Clan youths. Though physically trained from childhood, his well-defined muscles are described as elegant rather than bulky. 1
- Refined and gentle-looking rather than imposing or hulking. 1
- Fair-skinned, with a youthful appearance during his first bloodline test. 1
- Possesses an extensively lightning-tempered physique, later described as tougher than that of some Magical Beasts with middling bloodlines. 19
- Frequently fights while enveloped in black lightning. 40 41
Personality
Lei Qi is confident, competitive, and strongly influenced by the Thunder Clan’s belief that strength determines status. He speaks bluntly, refuses to yield to Lei Dong’s challenges, and regards combat as the clearest measure of capability. 3 46
Despite his ambition, he is notably patient in cultivation. He remained on the first level of the ancestral grounds rather than risking a premature advance, chose to consolidate before breaking through, and recognized that the Black Demon Lightning required restraint rather than reckless use. 3 5 6
He is also pragmatic and controlling when securing long-term advantages. This is most evident in his use of the Life-bound Soul-Control Lock on Xiao Yan and Medicine Elder, as well as his insistence on keeping the incident secret. 27 Conversely, he invests heavily in companions he considers talented, arranging resources, techniques, protection, and alchemical guidance for them. 35 38 44

A soul-binding technique used to force Xiao Yan and Medicine Elder into submission. 27
- Suppresses and binds the target’s soul. 27

- Its use was concealed from the wider Thunder Clan and from Gu Xun’er. 27
Equipment / Weapons / Items
